Scouting report
- Misericordia has appeared in the World Series twice before with a 2-4 overall record. They were 1-2 in their last appearance in 2023.
- Pete Egbert is in his 17th year as the head baseball coach at Misericordia and his 22nd as a head coach at the college level. He has been tabbed as the conference Coach of the Year seven times.
- Six members of the MAC Freedom champions have been named to the All-MAC Freedom team, including Player of the Year Connor Maryniak.
- Light hitting Misericordia has a field low slugging percentage but this is a reflection of their focus on speed and getting on base. Their pitching staff is much improved from last year's World Series team.
