GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Bryan Bialecki's one-out solo homer in the eighth broke a 3-3 tie and sent Guilford College to an 11-3 nonconference baseball win over Greensboro College Tuesday night at NewBridge Bank Park in downtown Greensboro.

Bialecki's first career homer triggered a seven-run inning that blew open a close game and sent the Quakers (12-15) to their second win over the Pride (15-14) this season. He and teammate Kyle Wooden both finished with two hits for Guilford, as did D.J. Phillips.

Despite allowing a trying run in the bottom of the seventh inning, Quakers' freshman Micah Denny (2-1) earned his second win of the season with three innings of relief.

Quinn Finnegan had two of Greensboro's four hits. Tyler Beeby (3-1) took the loss in relief of starter Murray Smith.

Guilford, winners of three of its last four games, hosts Old Dominion Athletic Conference rival Virginia Wesleyan College Sunday at noon. The Quakers and Pride play their third and final game of this year's cross-town rivalry next Tuesday (4/5) at War Memorial Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
