Winter Haven, FL: The Ramapo College Roadrunners won their fifth game of the season, beating the Salem State Vikings 6-0 at Chain O'Lakes Stadium last night.

Ramapo jumped out early when cleanup hitter Matt Hancock launched a three run homerun deep into the night beyond the left field wall. Ramapo added a pair of runs in the second inning, thanks to a Kevin Knox sacrifice fly scoring Nick DiGirolamo, and a passed ball scoring Pete Dacenko. The Roadrunner offense tallied their final run of the evening when Knox singled home Dacenko an inning later, making the score 6-0.

Ramapo starting pitcher Mark Delannoy made the lead stand up, going seven strong innings giving up five hits and striking out five. Jimmy Knight came on for the final two innings to preserve the shutout. Knox pounded out three hits for the Roadrunners, while Dacenko added two of his own.

Ramapo will return to action tomorrow, with a 3:30 game versus Fitchburg State at Lake Myrtle Park.
