PITTSBURGH, PA -- La Roche College Baseball defeated Pitt-Greensburg 10-1 to advance to the AMCC Tournament semifinals of the winners bracket. The Redhawks will play Penn State Behrend tomorrow on campus at approximately 12 noon.

Starting pitcher Cole Lentz got out of a jam in the top of the first and the Redhawks took advantage in the bottom half of the inning. Center fielder Luis Navedo singled up the middle and Franzee Barlamas answered with a 2-out RBI single through the left side to go up 1-0.

In the second inning, Williamson broke up an inning ending double play which allowed Barlamas to come through with his second RBI to take a 2-0 lead. Colin Feikles followed with a 2-run double and two batters later John Watson smacked a bases clearing triple to go up seven runs.

First baseman Brian Tougher belted a solo home run in the fourth to take an 8-0 lead and the Redhawks went up 10-1 in the eighth on a bases loaded walk and a Williamson sacrifice fly.

Lentz threw a complete game gem giving up just one run on five hits while striking out five batters.

Every player in the La Roche lineup registered a hit including Feikles who had three. Watson finished with 3 RBI while Feikles and Barlamas had 2 apiece. Navedo, Feikles, and Lubin each scored twice in the game.
