Baruch Edges Mount St. Vincent (9-8)

The Baruch College Bearcats edged the Dolphins from the College of Mount St. Vincent, 9-8, in a high-scoring home contest played on Thursday afternoon at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York.

The Bearcats led throughout the contest, while
Matthew Faziorecorded the big save to help the team close out their 11th win of the season.

Matthew Ballone(3-for-5, 2 runs) and Zachary T. Uher(3-for-4, 1 run) each had a solid game at the plate, while Angel Tejeda(homer) and Eric Ulinodrove in two runs each on a cold afternoon with snow flurries.

Ballone scored in the fifth inning on a wild pitch to increase the score to 9-5 and that stood as the winning run at the end of the game.

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, April 25, with a 12:00 pm CUNYAC doubleheader at Lehman College in the Bronx.
