LOS ANGELES — Jack Brancheau just keeps coming through in the clutch and the Occidental baseball team keeps winning in spectacular fashion.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th, the first year from Scottsdale, Ariz. banged a single up the middle, sending Brady Fuller home for the winning run and securing Oxy's seventh comeback victory of the season when trailing after the fifth inning.

Brancheau drove in the game-winning run against Willamette, had a walk off homer against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and had a pair of RBIs during a ninth-inning rally against Whittier.

Season Impact: The Tigers improve to 14-4 overall and are sitting at 10-2 and in first place in SCIAC.

Oxy hasn't lost since the second game of its SCIAC-opening series against Chapman on Feb. 20.

Rutgers-Newark falls to 5-7.

The Tigers struck first in the bottom of the second inning. Charlie Caccamo drove in Oxy's first run with a double to left center that sent Reid Gibbs around to score and then Fuller scored on a wild pitch.

Fuller and Caccamo were each 2 for 4.

Rutgers-Newark got one back in the third and evened the game at 2-2 with another run in the sixth.

Will NahmensWalker Marks and Josh Cohen combined for an excellent effort on the mound for the Tigers. Nahmens gave up one earned in six innings, Marks went four scoreless and Cohen picked up the victory with three consecutive outs in the 11th.

Next Game: Oxy returns to SCIAC competition on Friday against Redlands at 3 p.m. at Anderson Field.
