Game One: No. 6 Cortland 4, New Paltz 1

Kennedy), junior Dwayne Page (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot), freshman Savino Citriniti (Middletown, N.Y./Pine Bush) and sophomore Danny Campbell (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) all collected base knocks with Campbell coming through with a double to right center in the bottom of the fifth.

Freshman Anthony Amoroso (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) drove in the team's lone run with an RBI groundout to third in the bottom of the fifth.

Sophomore righty Justin Stybel (Bellmore, N.Y./John F. Kennedy) suffered the loss (1-3) as he threw all seven innings, scattering six hits while striking out five. Stybel hurled 115 pitches.

Game Two: No. 6 Cortland 6, New Paltz 4

Despite jumping out to an early 1-0 lead, the Hawks gave up four runs in the third to go down 4-1.

Trailing 5-1 in the fifth, junior Nick DePietro (Carmel, N.Y./Carmel) ripped a three-run homer to left center to get the Hawks within one, 5-4. However, Cortland managed to tack on another insurance run to claim the doubleheader sweep.
