BOSTON, Mass. – A bases loaded RBI single by senior Luke Nagle (Pembroke, Mass.) extended baseball's win-streak to eight consecutive games as the Beacons defeated Endicott College by the final of 5-4 in 10 innings of play Monday evening at Monan Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED

With the bases full of Beacons in the bottom of the 10^th inning and with two outs on the scoreboard, Nagle crushed a line drive to the third base side on the very first pitch he saw.  With all three bases runners taking off at the crack of the bat, the Beacons were able to earn a crucial in-region walk-off victory as they celebrated with their new starting left fielder.

In conditions that resembled more March 1, than May 1 the two teams traded runs in the three plus hour affair. 

Nagle's game-winning hit capped-off a 3-for-5 day for the senior, while classmate Anthony Searles (Shelton, Conn.) recorded the then game-tying two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 4-4.  The clutch two-run shot marked the second time that Searles has hit a ball out of the park against the Gulls.  Last season, the Shelton, CT native recorded a double and a homer in the Beacons first-ever win in Beverly, MA.

Monday's outcome could have been dramatically different had the Beacons not stranded a combined 14 runners, which included leaving the bases loaded in three separate innings. 

On the hill Bobby Tramondozzi collected his second win of the year after a strong 2.1 innings.  The sophomore closer allowed just one hit, while only walking one batter.  He also picked-up a pair of strikeouts in the victory as well.

BY THE NUMBERS

• Chris Fowler (Barnstable, Mass.) extended his hit-streak to 27 games with a triple
• Dan Mantoni (Northbridge, Mass.) recorded his 200^th career hit in the victory making him just the third player in program history to reach that career mark
• Kyle Boudrias (Medford, Mass.) also recorded a career milestone as he became the second player this season to record his 100^th career hit
• The Beacons have now won three straight over the Gulls dating back to the 2015 season.  Both home wins UMB have been in walk-off fashion
• Josh Gerson (Melville, N.Y.) earned the start and went five complete; He allowed two runs on two hits, while also walking two and striking out two
