HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – Sophomore Michael Zubovich (Chantilly, Va./Freedom) allowed three hits and a run in six innings as the fourth-ranked Randolph-Macon baseball team dropped an 8-1 ODAC contest at Hampden-Sydney on Wednesday evening.

The Yellow Jackets (24-4-1, 14-2 ODAC) had their 10-game win streak snapped by the Tigers (14-15, 7-8 ODAC).

Zubovich walked one and fanned six. He allowed a run in the bottom of the first, then blanked H-SC over the next five frames. The Tigers won the game with seven in the eighth.

R-MC tallied its lone run in the fourth. After the first 10 Yellow Jackets were retired in order, junior Jeff Butler (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) reached on an error and scored on a double by senior Cole Migliorini (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) to even the score at 1-1.

Senior Rick Spiers (South Chesterfield, Va./Matoaca) had two of R-MC's three hits, including one of their two doubles.

Randolph-Macon travels to No. 11 Shenandoah on Saturday for a noon ODAC doubleheader.
