WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Keuka College Baseball team completed the regular season sweep of Gallaudet University, defeating the Bison 17-6 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Sunday.

Dan Bamann (Rochester, N.Y. / Irondequoit) led Keuka College (11-13, 6-3 NEAC) with four hits on the day. The senior also drove in two runs and scored two as well. Freshman Nick Brown (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) continued his hot hitting, collecting three hits for the Wolves.

The Wolves took an early lead, plating five runs in the top of the first inning. Following a run on a Bison error, Anthony Brown (Schenectady, N.Y. / Schenectady) delivered a two-run double to make it 3-0. Keuka College also scored on an RBI groundout and a wild pitch in the inning.

A sacrifice fly in the fourth extended the lead to 6-0, but Gallaudet responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. They then added three runs in the bottom of the fifth and threatened to tie the game with two runners on. Tyler Key (Chico, Calif. / Gridley) entered to pitch for the Wolves and got the first batter he faced to ground into a 6-4-3 double play to escape further damage.

Tyler Freedman (Rochester, N.Y. / Aquinas Institute) quickly got a run back with an RBI single in the sixth. Keuka College then created breathing room in the seventh inning.

Anthony Mashewske (Newark, N.Y. / Newark) had an RBI double and scored on a single by Nick Brown. Dan Bamann later delivered the big hit in the inning, a two-run triple to right centerfield. Bamann scored on a balk. Ryan Seales (Saratoga Springs, N.Y. / Saratoga Springs) added an RBI single as the Wolves led 13-5 after seven innings.

Keuka College would continue to add insurance runs in the eighth and ninth as the Wolves defeated the Bison 17-6.

• Sunday was the 11th straight win for Keuka College against Gallaudet. The Wolves lead the all-time series 13-8
• Keuka College totaled 20 hits against the Bison, ninth most in program history
• The Wolves had six doubles against the Bison, tying for third most all-time
• With his four hits, Dan Bamann tied Seth Fikes for eighth on the career hits list
• Bamann finished a home run short of the cycle
• Tyler Key logged 3.2 innings of relief on Sunday to earn the win. Key allowed just one hit and struck out four

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will step out of conference play on Tuesday for a doubleheader against Medaille College at Kuhl Field. Medaille won the lone meeting between the two schools 13-4 last season. First pitch between the Wolves and the Mavericks is set for 1pm.
