The Lynx completed the sweep of the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels, defeating them by a score of 5-2.

After being scratched late yesterday, Nick Ferazzi took the mound and was his usual self, pitching 5 innings, only allowing 1 run on 3 hits, and striking out 5.

The Lynx' bats did not put on their usual power display, but they executed when they needed to. John McNair knocked in an RBI in the first, and Wood Kimbrough did the same in the second.

With the score tied in the 6th inning, a well-executed squeeze bunt from Malcolm Rohlfing scored Ben Wilson, who took off for the plate on the pitch.

Two important insurance runs came around to score, coming from a double from Ben Burkhart in the 7th, and a SAC fly by Peter York in the 8th.

Andy Hanaway pitched in relief of Ferazzi for 2 innings, allowing only one run on one hit. Hanaway is credited with the win for today's matchup.

Colby Slaughter pitched the final 2 innings of the game, striking out 4 and securing the first save of his collegiate career.
