KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Game number 18 was the first home game at Kuhl Field for the season for the Keuka College Baseball team. However, home was not sweet as the Wolves fell 15-2 to Hobart College in a non-conference game on Tuesday.

Nolan Quinn (Aurora, Ohio / Walsh Jesuit) and Tyler Lewandowski (Milltown, N.J. / Spotwood) each drove in a run for Keuka College (4-14, 0-6 Empire 8). Donald Nemeth (Guilderland, N.Y. / Guilderland) added a double for the Wolves.

The Statesmen jumped out to an early as the leadoff hitter had an infield single, stole second, stole third, and then scored on a groundout by the second batter to make it 1-0. Hobart would plate four in the inning for the early advantage.

The Wolves got one back in the bottom of the frame. Matt Vaccaro (Fayetteville, N.Y. / Fayetteville-Manlius) led off with a walk and moved to second on a balk. Following a groundout, Nolan Quinn singled to center to score Vaccaro.

Hobart would squash any momentum with another big hit, converting a two-out single and turning it into two runs to make it 6-1. The Statesmen would double their total with six runs on seven hits in the fourth, extending their advantage to 12-1.

Lewandowski had an RBI groundout in the fifth, but Hobart responded with three more runs in the sixth. In the bottom of the seventh, Keuka would load the bases with one out, but back-to-back strikeouts would end the game with Hobart defeating the Wolves 15-2.
