HARRISONBURG, Va. – Freshman CJ Chatterton (Rockville, Md./Georgetown Prep) scored four times in Game 2 and senior Chaz Harvey (Charlottesville, Va./Miller School) was a triple short of the cycle in the nightcap with two runs and three RBI as the Randolph-Macon baseball team split an ODAC doubleheader at Eastern Mennonite on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened:
- The Yellow Jackets started the scoring in the top of the first of the nightcap. Freshman Mason Bodnar (Arlington, Va./St. John's Prep) drew a one-out walk, went to second on a wild pitch, advanced to third on a groundout and came home on a single by senior Aaron Lautenschlager (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) to give the visitors a 1-0 edge.
- Junior Elias Brooks (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) led off the second with a triple and scored on a groundout by Chatterton to put RMC on top 2-0.
- The Royals homered in the bottom of the second to cut the deficit in half before junior Carter Schmitt (Glen Allen, Va./St. Christopher's) led off the third with his first homer of the season to extend the lead to 3-1.
- EMU added an unearned run in the third before RMC put up a crooked number in the fourth. Chatterton had a one-out single and sent to second when sophomore Jack Bowles (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) reached on a bunt single. Both runners moved up on a wild pitch and Chatterton scored on a groundout by Bodnar to make it 4-2. A base hit by Schmitt plated Bowles as the lead grew to 5-2. After Lautenschlager singled, Harvey smacked a three-run homer as the Yellow Jackets took an 8-2 lead.
- The Royals put up two in the fourth before RMC lit the scoreboard again in the fifth. Brooks was plunked, went to second on a wild pitch, stole third and scored on an errant throw to make it 9-4. Chatterton walked, stole second and came home on a single by Bodnar as the margin grew back to six at 10-4.
- EMU got one back in the fifth before the Yellow Jackets put up multiple runs again in the sixth. Harvey was hit by a pitch and went to second on a single by senior Aidan Pinto (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes). Brooks moved both runners up 90 feet with a sacrifice bunt. Sophomore James Baffone (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) delivered a pinch-hit single to knock in both runners and make it 12-5. Chatterton walked and scored on a double by Bowles for a 13-5 advantage.
- The Royals plated one in the sixth before RMC got it back in the eighth. Chatterton had a two-out single, stole second and scored on a base hit by Bowles to make the score 14-6.
- EMU had a homer in the eighth to make the final 14-7.
- Senior Sam Slevin (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank Cox) pitched three innings in relief to record the win, raising his record to 3-2.

How It Happened:
- The Yellow Jackets snapped a scoreless tie in the top of the third in the opener. Chatterton had a leadoff single and was sacrificed to second by freshman Josh Wright (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch). Bowles was hit by a pitch and both runners moved up 90 feet on a wild pitch. After Bodnar walked to load the bases, Schmitt doubled to knock in Chatterton and Bowles and give RMC a 2-0 edge. A sacrifice fly by Lautenschlager brought in Bodnar to make it 3-0.
- The Royals tallied two in the fifth and two in the sixth before the Yellow Jackets tied it in the seventh. Bowles drew a two-out walk and scored on a double by Bodnar to make it 4-4.
- Harvey had a leadoff double in the eighth but was unable to score.
- EMU had a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to claim a 6-4 victory.
