October 16, 2024 Barlow will leave MIT after '25 season Andy Barlow, head coach of MIT since 2004, has announced his plans to retire following the 2025 baseball season. During his time as head coach at MIT, Barlow has elevated the program to one of the best in the NEWMAC with a record of 402-291-4.
May 5, 2023 No. 4 Seeded MIT Powers to 14-2 Win Over Springfield to Advance in NEWMAC Tournament In the first round of the 2023 NEWMAC Tournament, the No. 4 seeded MIT baseball team used a 15-hit offensive attack and excellent pitching to come away with a 14-2 victory over No. 5 seeded Springfield College. The Engineers now advance to the double-elimination of the tournament, which is being held this weekend at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass.
April 25, 2023 Burke Strikes Out Career-High 13 as MIT Rallies From 10-Run Deficit to Defeat WPI Trailing by a 13-3 margin head into the bottom of the fifth inning, the MIT baseball team closed the game with 12 unanswered runs to defeat WPI by a 15-13 final on Tuesday afternoon.
April 22, 2023 Meyer Complete-Game Leads MIT to Road Doubleheader Split at Babson Led by a game two, complete-game by junior Karl Meyer (Indianapolis, Ind.), the MIT baseball team earned a road split with Babson College on Saturday afternoon in a pair of NEWMAC divisional games. Babson took game one in a 5-2 final, while the Engineers took the second game by a 5-3 margin.
April 12, 2023 Endicott stays perfect at home on Wednesday With their tenth win against no losses at home, Endicott defeated MIT 13-3 for their 15th win all-time over the Engineers. Next up for the Gulls is Roger Williams who was also a winner on the day.
April 11, 2023 MIT Rallies Past Springfield in 7-5 Final to Complete Regular-Season Series Sweep Trailing by a 4-3 margin after four innings, the MIT baseball team tied the game in the sixth and used a three-run seventh to rally past Springfield College for the 7-5 victory on Tuesday afternoon. The win gives MIT a sweep of the two-game, regular-season series with the Pride.
