April 9, 2025 MIT's Spivey, Albion's Giesige honored with weekly award Spivey and Giesige Honored A no-hitter and a three-homer game captured the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Div. III honors for the week of March 31-April 6 with one player winning two awards on the same week for the first time in the history of the awards.
April 1, 2025 Wabash, Keystone, MIT score upset wins on Tuesday Wabash used superb pitching to steal a game from Denison as the two teams split a Tuesday doubleheader. Keystone added an upset win over Misericordia. MIT, Spalding, and York also joined in the upset parade.
March 22, 2025 Engineers No-Hit Bobcats The MIT baseball team swept both games of a non-conference doubleheader versus Bates College on Saturday at Leahey Field. MIT took game one, 3-0, as sophomore Mason Estrada and senior Phillip Hood combined to pitch a seven inning no-hitter. The Engineers then rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to win game two, 7-2.
March 11, 2025 2025 no-hitters A trio of Kohawk pitchers combined to toss a no-hitter in the opening game between Coe and Hamline on March 9th, becoming the first to throw a no-no in the 2025 DIII season.
October 16, 2024 Barlow will leave MIT after '25 season Andy Barlow, head coach of MIT since 2004, has announced his plans to retire following the 2025 baseball season. During his time as head coach at MIT, Barlow has elevated the program to one of the best in the NEWMAC with a record of 402-291-4.
May 5, 2023 No. 4 Seeded MIT Powers to 14-2 Win Over Springfield to Advance in NEWMAC Tournament In the first round of the 2023 NEWMAC Tournament, the No. 4 seeded MIT baseball team used a 15-hit offensive attack and excellent pitching to come away with a 14-2 victory over No. 5 seeded Springfield College. The Engineers now advance to the double-elimination of the tournament, which is being held this weekend at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass.
