May 14, 2025 Lieser to replace Haugen at SJU Scott Lieser, an assistant coach at Saint John's University the past seven seasons, was named the Johnnies' head coach on Wednesday, May 14. Lieser replaces Jerry Haugen '76, who retired following 48 seasons with a 916-736-5 (.554) record.
March 26, 2025 Haugen wins 900th in final season St. John's (Minn.) head coach Jerry Haugen won his 900th game on a day that the Johnnies swept Northwestern (Minn.). Coach Haugen announced earlier that the 2025 season will be his last.
March 20, 2025 Teams make statements with top 25 upsets Mitchell has not had much success against No. 5 Salve Regina in the past but did have it today as they upset the Seahawks. Amherst also found a win over No. 18 Babson with MIAC teams St. John's (Minn.) and St. Olaf joining the party as well.
December 12, 2024 Haugen to hang up spikes in 2025 Saint John's (Minn.) head coach, Jerry Haugen '76 has announced that the 2025 season will be his last as head coach of the baseball program, and that he will serve as coach emeritus in 2026.
February 26, 2024 Minnesota teams part of Monday slate St. John's (Minn.) and Gustavus took two and St. Scholastica also got a win on Monday as baseball games got underway in Minnesota. Most of the day's action was in Florida as teams get their spring road trip in early.
May 3, 2023 St. John's (Minn.) clinches MIAC berth St. John's (Minn.) clinched MIAC berth for its 13th-consecutive appearance with a sweep of St. Olaf. They will host the MIAC tournament next week.
