    Muhlenberg used a record 25 free passes to take a 24-7 win over Penn State Berks, The Mules were not the only team to take advantage of wildness in the opposing pitching staff. Western New England used 11 walks to get a win themselves on Wednesday.

    Sweeping the day is always a goal before the first pitch. On Sunday sweeps were accomplished by the likes of Catholic, Knox, Lynchburg, Muhlenburg Stevenson and Utica. Wilmington and UW-Stevens Point both took two from two different teams.

    Muhlenberg wins back-to-back extra inning games for the first time since 1991 while it took much less time for Christopher Newport to defeat a second Top five team. CNU defeated NC Wesleyan today and Salisbury five days ago.

    Franklin and Marshall received their first loss as they split a CC doubleheader with Muhlenberg, blunting their quick start to the season. Elsewhere teams teams ended their weekend play for a traditionally quiet Easter Sunday in D-III nation.
  • NCWBA honors four in weekly awards

    Lebanon Valley's Michael Leri and Muhlenberg's Matthew D'Ambrosia earned the hitter and pitcher of the week award given out by the NCWBA. Rian Schwede, Endicott and Harutaro Takahashi, NEC shared the rookie award.
  • Records fall on Friday

    Career records often fall at the end of the season but several program high water marks were set today. Muhlenburg's Matthew D’Ambrosia became the Mule's strikeout king while St. John's (Minn) Wyatt Ulrich set his program's runs record. With a third-inning, run-scoring single on Friday, Hope right fielder Mason Opple became the Flying Dutchmen's all-time baseball leader in RBIs.
  • Benedictine gets wins on Monday

    Benedictine earned two more wins on Monday, sweeping Edgewood as they build up an at-large resume for the NCAA playoff field. Elsewhere playoff seeding were secured as Muhlenberg won the final spot in the Centennial, keeping out last years champion, Swarthmore.
  • Mules climbs into CC race as coach gets win #100

    The Mules swept Washington College, 7-5 and 8-1, to extend their winning streak to four and climb into the thick of the Centennial Conference playoff race. To top it off, the win in the second game was the 100th for head coach Tod Gross.

    Joel Pierce helped Wheaton (Ill.) to a 2-1 record against CCIW rival Illinois Wesleyan and was named NCBWA Rookie of the week for his efforts. He joins Chris Fowler and Matt D’Ambrosia on the weekly NCWBA honor role.

    Monday saw La Roche make a regional statement, sweeping Mount Union in two close games. Muhlenberg also got out on the diamond and chalked up a win over the Wilkes Colonels.

    Denison exploded for seven first inning runs in their home opener to steam roll John Carroll. Washington and Jefferson set a program record for hits in a game in their win over Union. Muhlenberg did not need much scoring as they earned their first shutout in three years.

    Muhlenberg earned their second straight win, with a 13-8 victory over Catholic in Myrtle Beach S.C. Further south in Florida, it was Concordia-Chicago coming out ahead of St, John Fisher in a game between teams in this weeks Top 25.
