Piedmont and La Verne earned their first wins of the season. ThLions defeated Cal Lutheran and La Verne bested Linfield. Widener was a Wednesday winner with Rhodes and Hendrix opening with wins on Tuesday.

Kevin Burdick has been named the Interim Head Baseball Coach for the Widener University baseball team as announced by Director of Athletics, Jack Shafer. Previously the associate head coach and an assistant coach with the Pride, Burdick is in his sixth season with the program overall.
