Piedmont and La Verne earned their first wins of the season. ThLions defeated Cal Lutheran and La Verne bested Linfield. Widener was a Wednesday winner with Rhodes and Hendrix opening with wins on Tuesday.
Widener defeated Messiah to advance to face Lebanon Valley, the conference regular season champion, on Saturday. In other Tournament action, Montclair State, Ramapo and William Paterson all earned wins in the opening of the NJAC tournament. Baruch advanced to the CUNYAC championship series.
Kevin Burdick has been named the Interim Head Baseball Coach for the Widener University baseball team as announced by Director of Athletics, Jack Shafer. Previously the associate head coach and an assistant coach with the Pride, Burdick is in his sixth season with the program overall.
