Nick Vennochi named Emerson head coach

Emerson Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Nick Vennochi as the new Head Baseball Coach.

Coach Vennochi is an Emerson Alumni, graduating in 2011 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in Marketing, Advertising & Public Relations. While at Emerson he was a four year Varsity Athlete on the Baseball team, as well as a Captain and team MVP his senior year.

Previous experience includes coaching club baseball at nearby conference rival Babson College. In addition he worked as personal instructor at Extra Innings in Woburn, teaching baseball fundamentals to youth and high school students.

He will also be assisting with Athletics Media Relations given his experience at Wentworth and Wesleyan University in their Sports Information departments.

Vennochi said that, "I am extremely humbled and excited for this opportunity. I thank Emerson Athletics for believing in me to take this program to the next level. Emerson College and Emerson College Baseball are near and dear to my heart. I care deeply about the program and its future success. I'm looking forward to, and am ready for the challenge. Our goals will be simple: work hard in the classroom and on the field, play the game the right way and have a great time doing it."
