Behind 35 runs, Oswego State swept a road doubleheader from conference foe New Paltz on Tuesday afternoon. The Lakers won 24-12 and then 11-3 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Game one would be a back and forth affair until a seven-run sixth inning, highlighted by a bases-clearing double by senior Myles Felton, broke the game wide open. In the second game, it would be another big innings that would put the game under the Laker's control. In the fifth, the Lakers would break the game open on a Frank Levine bases-loaded double, followed by a double from Connor Stanton as part of a six-run outburst.

Generating a little two-out magic in the bottom of the ninth, North Central College walked off with a 6-5 win over Millikin University on Tuesday in a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin thriller at Zimmerman Stadium. After the first two batters of the ninth were retired in order, Joe Rizzo drew a two-out walk before Luke Gregorio singled to center to put two on with two away for Michael Stoltz. With Michael Patterson pinch-running for Rizzo at second, Stoltz came through in the clutch with a seeing-eye single through the left side as Patterson dove in to home just ahead of the throw from left to send the Cardinals home 6-5 winners.

The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs won their fourth straight with an 8-2 non-conference victory Tuesday over Concordia Texas. Bulldog senior outfielder Tyler Cauley moved into second place on the TLU all-time home run list with his 34th career homer. Cauley hit a solo home run in the second inning. The homer moved Cauley past TLU Hall of Famer Aaron Crais on the TLU home run list. Aaron Merhoff is the TLU career leader with 51. Cauley went 3-for-4 against the Tornados, and he scored two runs. Ten different TLU pitchers combined to hold Concordia to four hits. The Bulldogs struck out 12 batters and worked around nine walks. Matthew Hickey (3-0) notched the pitching win with an inning of work. He struck out a batter and did not issue a walk or surrender a hit.
Rockford University (8-9) swept the Maranatha Baptist University Sabercats (0-6) Tuesday night. Rockford won the first game by a score of 27-0 while breaking the school record for most triples in a game with four in game one. The Regents also tied the school record for most hits in an inning with 10 hits in the second inning of game one. Rockford won the second game by a score of 16-0 and Jared Herzog tied the school record for most strikeouts in a seven-inning game with 15 strikeouts in game two. In game one Ryan Smith hit for the cycle going 5-6 with a homer, triple, two doubles and a single.
Stevenson first-year infielder Amani Jones belted three home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in nine runs, while Mustang pitching posted a pair of shutouts as it swept Eastern in a MAC Commonwealth baseball doubleheader by scores of 15-0 and 9-0 Tuesday afternoon at Sugar Field. Jones and Kevin Murray each had three hits as the Mustangs outhit the Eagles 17-5 in the opener. Murray had a pair of doubles, while Jones finished with six RBI. Jones and Alex Kidwiler each had three hits in the nightcap as the Mustangs outhit the Eagles 14-6. Jones' grand slam is the second of the season by a Stevenson player. Kidwiler had a grand slam at Albright on March 21.
Paul Fomby homered twice and drove in five runs to help Elmhurst University rally past Carroll University 14-11 in a slugfest. Elmhurst's late lead did not last as Brenton Holly smashed a two-run homer in the seventh to knot the score at 11-11. The Bluejays answered back immediately with two runs in the bottom of the seventh. Carter Truong singled to put the Bluejays in front and Romay added a sacrifice fly to make the score 13-11. Zachary Mietzner crushed a solo homer to left field in the eighth as an insurance run for the Bluejays. Farino finished with three of Elmhurst's 14 hits on the day.
No. 14 Centenary needed extra innings to extend its program-record and current nation's longest winning streak on Tuesday night as the Gents held off the East Texas Baptist University Tigers in a non-conference game, 10-8, in 10 innings at Woods Field. The Gents (24-2) have now won a program-record 18th game in a row. The 18-game streak is tops in the nation in division III, four better than Washington University (St. Louis), who has won 14 in a row. Centenary defeated the Tigers (16-10) for the third time this season after a 7-4 home in on Feb. 12 and a 13-5 victory in Marshall on March 23.
Lynchburg defeated Greensboro College 4-1 at home on Tuesday afternoon as the Hornets won their sixth straight game and remain a perfect 10-0 on Fox Field. Hornets' starter, Michael Reiskind, scattered just one hit and punched out two over five strong innings of work to earn his second win of the year. Juniors Kendrick Creasey and Tommy Preston and sophomore Colby Hutnan combined for three innings of relief as the trio struck out five and allowed one unearned run on two hits. Senior Santiago Meneses pitched the ninth and allowed one hit and struck out two to earn his first save of the season.
Allegheny remained undefeated in 2021 after securing a doubleheader sweep at Oberlin, picking up a 14-5 win in game one before earning a 9-6 extra-inning win in the nightcap. In game one, Oberlin added three runs of its own between the bottom of the fourth and bottom of the fifth innings, however, an 8-5 deficit was as close to the lead as the Yeoman would get. The Gators exploded for six more runs in the top of the sixth to add on some insurance for a game one win. In game two, the Gators established a 3-0 lead in the top of the first pushed the lead up to 6-1. Oberlin, however, recorded five unanswered runs to extend game two into extra innings. The Gators capitalized on a Yeoman error in the top of the eighth that scored two runs to put the lead back in Allegheny's favor. Lucas provided another run of insurance, bringing home Dougherty by virtue of a sacrifice fly to center field.
Powered by home runs by Garrett Langis and Tyler Gendron and five solid innings on the mound from Shawn Sears, New England College picked up an 11-4 win over Keene State College, in non-conference action, Tuesday afternoon. This was the 21st all-time meeting between NEC and KSC, with the Owls still leading the series 16-5. This was the first time that New England College has hit multiple homeruns in a game, and they stole five bases on the afternoon. The Pilgrims pitching staff combined for nine innings, allowing eight hits, four runs, and striking out a season-high 15. This is the most strikeouts since NEC struck out 18 on April 13, 2019.

There was plenty of offense in Hamline's (4-10, 2-3 MIAC) MIAC doubleheader with Bethel (11-5, 5-1 MIAC) on Tuesday afternoon, with the Pipers winning game one 7-3, but dropping game two 13-4. Between the two games, the teams combined for 36 hits, with HU getting 12 of their 16 hits on the day in the first game. Colin Schuetz would hit the Pipers' fourth homer of the day in the sixth, hitting one to left field to make it 7-3. Braden Schneider and the Piper defense would take care of the rest, allowing only one runner on to help HU to the game one victory. The second game, which featured two separate weather delays, ended up getting away from the Pipers, as Bethel recorded 14 hits, six walks, and three hit-by-pitches and capitalized on two Hamline errors to score 13 runs, coming away with a 13-4 decision.
Carthage picked up their first ranked-win of the season, defeating No. 24 Augustana 12-7 on Tuesday afternoon at Augie Schmidt Field. After the visitors struck first in the top of the second inning with a pair of runs, the Firebirds (9-6, 4-5 CCIW) put up an eight-run second inning, highlighted by a triple from Cody Phelps, double from Colton Klein, and home run by Bryce Prybylinski. While the Vikings (14-3, 6-3 CCIW) got one back in the top of the third, Carthage scored two more in the bottom of the inning to make it a 10-3 game. Augustana would get back within three runs in the sixth frame, making it a 10-7 game, before Johnny Belskis smacked a solo shot over the left field wall in the sixth, and Phelps added a home run of his own in the eighth to help solidify the win.
Averett University erupted for a season-high 19 hits in a 13-2 lop-sided non-conference victory over Roanoke College on Tuesday. Four Cougars recorded three hit performances for Averett as all nine starters tallied a hit in the victory. Scheiderer finished with his best collegiate performance registered three RBI's, while Logan Albertson and Brandon Hatcher all drove in three runs apiece. Furthermore, Averett stole eight bases in the effort, including two double steal situations and posted its highest run and hit total on the year.
Junior second baseman Noah Plantamuro had five hits and drove in three runs and six pitchers combined on a four-hitter with 16 strikeouts as Eastern Connecticut State University swept its third doubleheader in seven days with 5-2, 4-0 seven-inning non-conference wins over Johnson & Wales University Tuesday afternoon at the Eastern Baseball Stadium. Ranked third in the first New England Division III coaches poll released today, Eastern (12-1) got a combined one-hitter from three pitchers in the opener, then scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning in the nightcap to extend its winning streak to six this season. The Warriors have played all of their games to date this year at home.
The Wheaton (ill.) Thunder put an end to a seven-game losing streak on Tuesday afternoon with an 8-4 victory at North Park University to improve to 6-11 on the season and 4-7 in the CCIW. Wheaton scored in each of the first three innings on Tuesday en route to a 15-hit performance. North Park falls to 8-9 overall and 3-9 in conference play. Jesse Welch led the Thunder attack with three hits and a walk with a run scored and run driven in. Ben Weaver drove home three runs and was one of five Thunder hitters with two or more hits on the day. Sam Reichert, Graham Core, and Cale Lewis also had two hits with Core and Lewis each scoring two runs. AJ Dhus, Bjorn Bostrom, and Alex Hanvey each provided an inning of scoreless work in relief of Dyer who allowed just two runs on six hits over five innings of work in earning his second victory of the year.
