The hot steak continues for Millsaps as the No. 6 seed Majors bested No. 3 seed Rhodes, 6-4 in the opening game of the SAA Tournament on Thursday. Millsaps has now won eight of its last nine games, advancing to the winner's portion of the Berry Pod at William R. Bowdoin Field. Junior Wil Wood was solid, striking out four Lynx while allowing two walks, eight hits and three runs in 7.0 IP. Millsaps (22-18) totaled 12 hits, while Rhodes (23-17-1) tallied nine. Millsaps will play Centre as the Colonels defeated host Berry 15-0 in seven innings.

No. 5 seed Hendrix defeated No. 4 seed Oglethorpe, 11-3, on Thursday in the first game for each team at Striplin Field in the Birmingham-Southern Pod in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament. The Warriors snap the Stormy Petrels' three-game win streak and improve to 3-0 all-time in the series in the SAA Tournament, including 2-0 in neutral site affairs as the fifth seed in the first game of the tournament. The Orange and Black's 28 wins are second most in program history and two shy of matching the mark from 2019. Hendrix (28-13) advances to face Sewanee in the double elimination tournament. Sewanee were 16-7 winners over No. 3 Birmingham-Southern.

University of Lynchburg wrapped up its Fox Field schedule win a bang Thursday afternoon and took down Hampden-Sydney 11-2 Jack Bachmore served up 7 2/3 stellar innings. He held the Tigers hitless through six frames, and Avery Neaves extended his conference lead in home runs with two more dingers. Neaves hit his first homer of the day during a four-run first inning for No. 6 Lynchburg. Gavin Collins also crushed a two-run home run down the line. The sophomore has three home runs over the last two games. Bachmore took the run support and ran with it as he sat down 15 batters in a row after the first inning. He struck out two and lowered his ERA to 2.09.

TCNJ went nearly 20 years without scoring as many runs as it did on Thursday afternoon at George Ackerman Park. The Lions defeated Rutgers-Camden, 28-6, in an NJAC game that helped solidify the Lions' grasp of a playoff spot in the NJAC Tournament next week. The 28 runs are the most for a TCNJ baseball team in a game since earning a 30-3 victory over King's (Pa.) on March 8, 2004. TCNJ has reached the 20-run plateau several times in the preceding 18 years. The last time came when TCNJ scored exactly 20 on April 13, 2018 at Stockton. The highest total since that 30-run output before Thursday came when the Lions scored 26 in a win over Haverford on March 25, 2006. The game itself had a little bit of everything. All nine TCNJ starters had at least one hit, one run scored and one RBI. Two of the players who came off the bench later in the game also hit that mark.

Graduate righthander Tommy Benincaso pitched seven shutout innings and senior righty Bryan Albee retired the potential tying run by getting a game-ending ground ball as No. 2 nationally-ranked Eastern Connecticut State University survived a ninth-inning Roger Williams University rally for a 7-4 non-conference victory Wednesday afternoon at Paolino Field. The win is the 12th this season without a loss on its opponent's home field for Eastern (30-3), which recorded its 32nd season of at least 30 wins. The Warriors are ranked first in New England, Roger Williams (25-5-1) third.

Senior Jaden Himmelreich came through with a two-run double in the top half of the 11th inning to break an 8-8 tie as Penn State Abington went on to defeat Delaware Valley University, 12-8, in a non-conference contest on Thursday afternoon at Frank Wolfgang Field. The victory extended the Nittany Lions' season-long winning streak to 10 straight games. The game went into extra innings after DelVal rallied to tie the score at 8-8 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth. Jonathan Drews came through with the game-tying hit for the Aggies.W ith two runners in scoring position and one out in the top half of the 11th inning, Himmelreich stepped to the plate a delivered a double down the right field line scoring juniors Sean Doherty and Matt Crisci to break an 8-8 tie. Freshman Chase Swain followed with a base hit to score Himmelreich to make the score 11-8. Two batters later, senior Ryan McCarty drove in Swain for the team's 12th run with a single up the middle.

Brett Carson slugged three home runs leading No. 1 ranked Marietta College to an 11-1 win over Oberlin College Thursday afternoon in a nonconference matchup. The Pioneers, winners of 18 straight games, improve to 32-3 overall. Oberlin falls to 7-22 on the season. Carson became the second Pioneer this season, and eleventh in program history, to hit three home runs in one game tying the school record. Damian Yenzi did it earlier this season against Heidelberg. All three of Carson's home runs were to the opposite field. He hit a solo shot in the second and fourth innings and then launched a three-run blast in the fifth inning.

Freshman first baseman Daniel Trzepacz led the way as Rhode Island College team defeated Johnson & Wales, 19-1, on Thursday afternoon. Through the first four innings, both offenses were held in check, as RIC led by one, 2-1, heading into the fifth inning. The Anchormen would hang seven runs on the board, mostly due to walks with the bases loaded and sacrifice flies, to put the game out of reach. RIC would pile on 10 runs over the next two innings, which included eight runs in the seventh inning, to win via the 10-run rule.

Caleb Regan made the most of his perhaps one pitch to hit in a bunting situation. The Hope College catcher sparked a go-ahead rally for the Flying Dutchmen in an 8-6 victory against Calvin University on Thursday at Boeve Stadium. Regan crushed a score-tying, two-run double in the fourth inning, then came home with the tie-breaking run two batters later. The junior from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Byron Center HS) also homered and matched his career-high with three RBIs.

Senior Corey McMann tallied three hits and three RBIs to lead the Ohio Northern baseball team to an 8-4 victory on Thursday at Memorial Field. One of McMann's three hits on the day was a 2-RBI double that gave Northern an early lead in the top of the first inning. BU took a 4-3 lead with a two-run fifth inning but went scoreless the rest of the game. Dakota Durick came home on a passed ball in the top of the seventh, and the Polar Bears capped the scoring with four runs in the eighth on RBI singles from freshman Ethan Spears, senior Sam Zeleznik, Durick and McMann.

Keystone College enjoyed a 19-2 non-conference victory over visiting Moravian University on Thursday afternoon at Christy Mathewson Field. With the win, the Giants improve to 17-15 overall (8-2 CSAC) and will head to St. Elizabeth University (14-18, 7-3 CSAC) on Saturday for the final CSAC doubleheader of the regular season, starting at 12 p.m. The Greyhounds drop to 20-16 and head to Elizabethtown College (18-18) for a Landmark series from April 30-May 1. Trailing 1-0, Keystone erupted for an 11-run fourth inning, as RJ Gouldsbury homered twice and collected five RBI in the frame. Gouldsbury ripped a three-run shot to left followed by a two-run blast later in the inning. The senior leads Keystone and the CSAC with 10 homers this season.

The Tufts bats exploded for 18 hits and 18 runs and junior pitcher Michael Volgende went the distance as the Jumbos finished their NESCAC East Division schedule with an 18-2 victory at Bates College on Thursday. Senior CF Miles Reid led the offense with a 5 for 6 game with three rbis and two runs scored. The Jumbos (21-10, 6-6 NESCAC East) hit three home runs, by Kyle Cortese, Jimmy Evans and Ryan Noone. Drew Fallon homered for Bates (6-23, 1-8). This was a 2-1 game in favor of Tufts through five innings. The Jumbos then scored four times in the sixth inning, four more in the seventh and then eight in the eighth to get to their second largest run output of the season.

Trip McCaffrey and Hunter Wroniuk each went 3-for-4 and Ryan Mostrangeli drove in three runs as Rowan fought back to score a 10-6 win over Stockton in NJAC action today in windy conditions. Rowan extend its winning streak to six and improves to 27-6 on the year and 13-2 in the conference. Rowan scored six runs in the seventh inning to overcome a 6-4 deficit and earn the victory. Tyler Cannon, Chris Curcio and Patrick Defeciani each had RBI singles, while Mostrangeli delivered the big hit, with a three-run double. Starter Eli Atiya went six innings and struck out three while Mike Shannon (5-1) earned the win for his 1.2 innings of work. Closer Christian Bascunan shut down Stockton in the ninth to secure the victory.

Penn State Behrend collected 21 hits against
non-conference opponent Thiel on Thursday as
part of a 19-7 victory. Behrend had 12 players
register a hit with six collecting multiple hits.

Sophomore relief pitcher Nicolas Santo went four innings after freshman starter Nick Callano threw the first two, and the Seahawks finished with a 5-1 over visiting Mariners of Mitchell College in non-league action on Thursday afternoon at Reynolds Field. Catcher Dylan Ketch launched a first-inning solo homer, his first of the season, after two were out to get the Salve Regina (20-9-2) offense started. The Seahawks banged out double-digit hits (11) for the ninth straight game and have gone 8-1 in that stretch with today's win matching their season-long win streak at four (4) games for the third time.

For the first time in 1,821 days, John Carroll played at Progressive Field, the home of the MLB's Cleveland Guardians. In their seventh game at the Guardians' home, the Blue Streaks improved their record to 4-3 all-time at Progressive Field as they defeated the Hiram Terriers 4-0. Justin Hanley and Henry Haracz both finished the afternoon with two hits for the Blue & Gold. Henry Darrow returned to the mound for the Blue & Gold for the first time since tearing his ACL last season. Darrow notched two strikeouts in his season debut, as Hiram's batters went three up, three down in the inning. Hiram tried to mount a comeback in the ninth inning as they recorded a hit, but Olsavsky recorded all three outs on the mound to seal the win.

Sophomore Matt Myers singled through a drawn-in infield in the bottom of the 10th as Randolph-Macon edged Virginia Wesleyan 7-6 in ODAC action on Thursday afternoon. Cole Snead got a foul out and two strikeouts in the top of the 10th to give the Yellow Jackets a second chance for a walk-off victory. Freshman Aaron Lautenschlager delivered a pinch-hit single to start the bottom of the 10th. Smith's sacrifice bunt was mishandled, putting Lautenschlager at second and Smith at first. Bush beat out a bunt single, loading the bases with none out. Myers singled up the middle to drive in Lautenschlager with the game-winning run.

Sophomore designated hitter Eli Westrick clubbed a game-tying three-run double in the top of the ninth inning, senior catcher Michael Thomas staked The College of Wooster to a 10-8 lead on a two-run triple in the top of the 10th inning, then junior Christian Johnston worked a one-two-three inning to give the Fighting Scots a midweek sweep over former Ohio Athletic Conference rival University of Mount Union. Wooster took Thursday's contest at Rafeld-Rogers Field 10-8 after beating Mount Union 13-5 at Art Murray Field on Tuesday. Mount Union (17-14) had the winning run 90 feet away in the bottom of the ninth before junior left-hander Ryan Sullivan pinned a backward strikeout on Connor Hyndman's line for the final out of the inning. Junior third baseman Dean Brown legged out a leadoff double to center field to start the 10th inning, then moved up to third on a wild pitch right after first-year second baseman Nick Pett walked. Brown and first-year pinch runner Leo Widtmann scored on Thomas' triple to the right-center gap

Senior left fielder Dan Carter's grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning gave William Paterson (24-12, 10-5 NJAC) a 10-9 victory against visiting Ramapo (14-20-1, 5-10 NJAC). Ramapo had a three-run ninth, stringing together a single, error, two-run triple and wild pitch for a 9-6 lead. Matt Lombardo drew a seven-pitch walk to start the home half of the ninth, Vinnie Martin singled to right center and Steve Yelin was issued a free pass, loading the bases. Carter launched a 2-1 pitch to right-center field for the walk-off grand slam. With the victory, the Pioneers clinched a top-four seed for the NJAC Tournament. Three regular-season games remain before the top three seeds will host opening-round games Tuesday, May 3, of the six-team, double-elimination tourney.

Powered by the bat of Sylvain Audet and timely hitting, New England College earns the split their doubleheader against in-state foe Plymouth State Wednesday evening. Plymouth State won the opener 8-3 while New England College won 8-5 in the nightcap. The Panthers tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the fourth inning, as Bryan McGrath scored on an NEC error. PSU went up 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, as Griffin Crane doubled to centerfield. Plymouth State would pull away in the bottom of the sixth with four runs in the frame to take game one 8-3. New England College started fast in game two, as Sylvain Audet blasted a one-out grand slam over the right-field fence, making it 4-0 NEC in the top of the first inning. The Panthers would tie the game in the bottom of the third inning, as they plated three runs in the frame. New England College regained the lead in the top of the sixth inning, as Bryce Worth scored on a failed pickoff attempt before Hagerty crossed the plate on a Connor Morin single up the middle. Cooper Ribaudo added an insurance run in the top of the seventh as he doubled home Sylvain Audet on the play.
