April 27, 2024 Centre's storybook season continues With the first round of the SAA tournament in the books it was three sweeps as top seeded Centre advanced as well as under dogs Sewanee and Rhodes. Fourth seeded Hendrix defeated Oglethorpe two games to one. The Colonels will host the double elimination pod round of the SAA Tournament on May 2-4.
June 6, 2023 Nate Burns Elevated to Head Baseball Coach at the University of the South SEWANEE, Tenn. - Announced on Tuesday by Director of Athletics John Shackelford, Nate Burns has been promoted to head baseball coach at the University of the South. 
May 23, 2023 Jenkins steps down from Sewanee Announced on Tuesday, David Jenkins has stepped down as head baseball coach at the University of the South. Spending the last nine seasons at the helm of the baseball program, he tallied 104 career wins and the third baseball coach to achieve more than 100 wins as a head coach.

April 14, 2023 Jenkins Earns Career Win Number 100; Munn Fans Career-High in Sewanee's Extra Inning Victory over Oglethorpe ATLANTA - A traditional pitcher's duel took place on Friday night from Hermance Stadium between the University of the South and Oglethorpe University. Tied at one going into extra innings, Sewanee had a go-ahead RBI double by Mike Lewishall and a career performance on the mound by Matt Munn to give the Purple and White the 2-1 victory over the Stormy Petrels to open a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) series.

April 28, 2022 Hosts fall as SAA tournament opens Centre dumped host Berry in the Berry pod of the SAA Tournament on Thursday. Birmingham-Southern had a better time but dropped their opener to Sewanee in the BSC pod. The trend was the same for the under card games with the lower seed advancing.
