Mass Maritime one win from playoff berth

After dropping the first game of the afternoon to Gustavus 3-2, Bethel took on St.Olaf in a win or go home elimination game. With the game tied at two in the sixth Issac Call hit a go-ahead two-run bomb to center to give the Royals a 4-2 lead. Adding on an insurance run and closing it out in the ninth to advance to the MIAC championship. Earlier in the day, St. Olaf stayed alive in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Playoffs by edging third-seeded Saint John's University, 13-12, in an elimination game. No. 17 Gustavus advanced to the MIAC playoff championship game with a 3-2 win over Bethel. The Gusties and will play for the MIAC playoff title and an automatic qualifier for the NCAA tournament tomorrow against Bethel.

Following their walk-off win over Framingham State in the Buccaneers first game in the MASCAC playoffs, Maritime took on Bridgewater State in the winners bracket on Friday morning in Bridgewater. A masterful performance on the mound from Sam Huffman and a 10-run explosion on offense, the Bucs shut out the Bears, 10-0, to advance to the Championship of the MASCAC on Saturday. Colsen Loughren led all players with three hits in the win. Aaron Cole, AJ Pietrafesa, and Michael Logiudice had two hits. Brett Velzis and Aidan Weir added one.

The Williams College Ephs opened their NESCAC Championship weekend with a statement, using timely hitting, relentless pressure, and a composed start from Lucas Brandt to power past Colby 13–4 on Friday afternoon. On the mound, Lucas Brandt set the tone. The first-year right hander stepped up in one of the year's biggest games and tossed seven innings, allowing just three earned runs on eight hits. He walked three, struck out three, and calmly navigated traffic while throwing 86 pitches. Brandt's outing was marked by control and soft contact, inducing 11 fly outs and six ground outs to earn his second win of the season. JH Vaughan closed the door with two clean innings of relief, allowing three hits and no runs. Offensively, Ryan Nakajima led the charge, going 5-for-5 with a double, three RBIs, and a stolen base. James O'Connor added two hits, a walk, and three RBIs, and Sasha Palma went 2-for-5 with three RBIs, including the key bases-clearing double. Juan reached base three times and scored twice, while every part of the Williams lineup contributed to the pressure. The Ephs will play Middlebury in the winners bracket final. Trailing 4-1 after six innings, Middlebury rattled off four runs, highlighted by a walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth by Aiden Han, for a 5-4 triumph in the opening game of the NESCAC Championship weekend. Middlebury started its game-winning rally with one out in the ninth. Parker roped a base knock to right and scampered to third on a double by Mathews before scoring on a Bantam miscue to knot the contest at 4-4. Han was the hero for the Panthers, plating Mathews on a looping base knock down the left-field line for the thrilling 5-4 victory.

Thomas split day two of the NAC Championship Tournament after falling to Husson 0-4, then winning 6-3 against Lesley University later in the day. This means the team advances to the NAC Championship final matchup against Husson. Due to the tournament's double elimination rule, the Terriers will have to secure two straight wins against the Eagles to claim the NAC trophy. The Eagles will only need to win one game to claim the NAC trophy. The Terriers won three straight games against the Eagles in the regular season.

Ithaca will play in its fourth straight Liberty League final as the Bombers took down Skidmore, 15-5, on Friday in cold and rainy conditions at Booth Field on the campus of Cornell University. Ithaca will face the winner of Skidmore and RPI for the championship tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. The Bombers then broke the game open in the bottom of the sixth by scoring 10 runs on six hits to make  it 12-2. IC began the frame by drawing three hit by pitches and three walks to plate a couple runs and then the gloomy sky, accompanied by rain and strong winds, led to two would-be routine fly balls dropping for base hits. Connor Pedersen hit a triple to center to drive in two runs, while Brawdy ripped a double to right to highlight the inning. After Skidmore belted a solo home run in the seventh, IC answered with three runs in the bottom half to make it 15-3. Daddabbo lifted a sac fly to left, while Brawdy doubled home another run and McDermott capped off the inning with an RBI single to right. Skidmore scored twice in the top of the ninth to account for the 15-5 final tally. The Clarkson offense was silenced by pitching from Rensselaer, as RPI advanced with a win 10-1 on Friday morning on day two of the Liberty League Tournament, hosted by Ithaca College at Booth Field on the campus of Cornell University.

No. 12 Brockport is heading to the Empire 8 Championship, defeating two seed Russell Sage, 1-0, on day two of the Empire 8 Championship Weekend on Friday, from the Clark V. Whited Complex. The Golden Eagles earned their 35th win of the season, setting a new program record for victories in a single season. Brockport's 1-0 win over Russell Sage marked the lowest scoring game in Empire 8 Playoff history. Anthony Lapine was untouchable on the mound for Brockport, tossing a complete game shutout with eight strikeouts. Now holding a 9-0 record, Lapine allowed just four baserunners across a flawless nine innings of work. Russell Sage went the extra inning to punch its ticket to Saturday's Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament Finals with a 4-3 10-inning victory vs. Houghton. The Gators, victorious via a walk-off balk, will face host SUNY Brockport, ranked at number 12 in the latest national poll, tomorrow at 11:00 AM, and if necessary at 2:30 PM. RSC (27-14/18-6 E8), comeback walk-off winners for the second-consecutive day, will need to defeat the top-seeded Golden Eagles twice to capture the title.

Keystone kicked off the United East Conference Championship weekend with a 6-2 win over Cairn University Friday afternoon at Bruggeworth Field. Keystone tallied three runs in the second off two RBI singles and a fielder's choice. They scored once in the third off another fielder's choice. The Giants would not score again until the sixth inning with another one-run single. Cairn finally broke the shutout with an RBI single, and Keystone responded in the bottom half with a SAC fly. The Highlanders added one run in the ninth, but the Giants were able to seal the victory. Darren Hagan went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Carlos Pascual and Nate Ewing both had two hits. Cooper Fesh also had two RBI on the day. Sean Brennan almost tossed a complete game as he went 8.2 innings with four strikeouts. He gave up two earned runs off five hits. No. 19 Penn State Harrisburg turned a close game in the middle innings into a decisive victory in an 11-2 win over St. Mary's (Md.) in United East Championship Tournament action at Bruggeworth Field on the campus of Wilkes University on a rainy Friday night. Blaine Waltimyer, Brendan Henn, Alexander Ruiz and Matthew Johansen each had multi-hit games, with the latter doubling and driving in two runs. Coy Schwanger also racked up three RBIs, while Demetre Koutras III scored three times. Fisher Druck earned the win after striking out eight without surrendering a run in 5.1 innings thrown.

Elizabethtown bounced back with a vengeance against Lycoming after falling to Scranton, Friday morning. The Blue Jays fell 10-7 to Scranton before downing Lycoming, 15-5. in the early game, the Royals tied up the game at 5-5 in the third before Etown once again responded in the bottom half of the inning. Agriss doubled to right center then Fiorini singled to score Agriss. After a few scoreless innings, Elizabethtown went up 7-5 after scoring on a wild pitch. The Royals scored two runs on three hits in the eighth to tie it up, 7-7. Etown forced extra innings and had a bases loaded opportunity in the tenth inning but were unable to capitalize and ultimately fell, 10-7 in 11 innings. Elizabethtown started off slow in their second game as they trailed 5-0 after four innings. After several scoreless innings for Etown, the Blue Jay bats ignited in the seventh scoring ten runs on seven hits. Nathan Woodbury got the hitting started for Etown with a single up the middle. McClain knocked a double to left center, scoring Woodbury. Woolley singled to right field to bring home McClain for the Jays third run. Etown tacked on two more runs via a ground out and Sawyer Martin's single. Agriss doubled to bring in Martin before McClain hit a three-run homer to give Etown the 10-5 lead. Elizabethtown added five more runs to finish off the scoring in the game. Catholic looked to build off its win in the first round of the Landmark Conference Tournament with a matchup against top-seeded Wilkes on Friday afternoon. The Cardinals came up with three runs in the top of the ninth to break a 3-3 tie and the bullpen shut the Colonels out over the last three innings to send Catholic into the winner's bracket with a 6-3 victory.

On Friday, Neumann dropped their first game of the day against Marymount, 7-4 but defeated Immaculata in an elimination game by final score of 6-5 in 10 innings to keep their season alive. Donovan Brooks led the way by hitting 5 for 9 with two doubles, a walk, three runs batted in, and three runs scored. Andrew Brown was 3 for 5 with three walks, a hit by pitch, an RBI, and 2 runs scored. Thomas Carroll had a strong first game with two doubles, and an RBI while JerVal Shuler was key in game two with a double, two RBI, and a run. With today's results, Neumann (27-12) advances to Saturday to take on Marymount. They will need to beat them twice to secure the 2025 Atlantic East Conference Championship.

Rhodes punched its ticket to the SAA Championship with a commanding 5-0 victory over second seeded Centre and a solid 8-4 victory over the host ad top seed Millsaps, in Jackson, Tennessee. Rhodes College secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Centre College in the SAA quarterfinals, led by an outstanding performance from pitcher Zac Sohosky, who threw a complete-game shutout, allowing just four hits and striking out six. In a thrilling matchup in Jackson, Mississippi, Rhodes College came from behind to defeat #1 Millsaps College 8-4. In the seventh, Cooper Angilly blasted a three-run homer to left field, bringing the game to a 4-4 tie. Corbin Kinder then stepped up with a two-run single, putting Rhodes ahead 6-4. The late innings saw more insurance for Rhodes, with a sacrifice fly from Austin Smith and another error by Millsaps allowing Rhodes to add two more runs in the eighth. On the mound, Will May (3-4) picked up the win, tossing 2.2 innings of scoreless relief, while Mick Arney earned his fourth save with three shutout innings.

Down 0-1 in th ninth, in just his fourth at-bat of the season, Harrison Tibe came up with the bases loaded. Normally a defensive replacement, Tibe also found himself down to the game's final strike, but he dug deep and worked the bases loaded walk for an RBI that brought in Weyler for the tying run. Fittingly, Prather was next in the lineup for Centre and he deposited a 1-1 pitch over the left field wall for an epic walk-off grand slam for the win. The grand slam was the first hit of the tournament for Prather, who also delivered one of the best pitching performances of his career, allowing just six hits and the solo shot in the second while going the distance. Centre and Millsaps will play to decide who meets Rhodes in the Tournament championship game.

With the bases loaded in the ninth inning of a tie game and two outs on the board, Conner Moore knocked a game-ending single to score Brandon Garcia and seal Lynchburg's 5-4 victory over Randolph-Macon in the team's second game of ODAC championship weekend on Friday evening at Capital One Park. In the final frame of the contest, the No. 5 Hornets saw Maddox Tsutsui walked prior to a bunt single by Garcia that put players on the corners. After Garcia stole second, Joe Munitz made contact on a ball that grounded out to second. The Yellow Jackets intentionally walked Benton Jones, loading the bags. Sean Pokorak reached on a fielders choice that allowed Randolph-Macon to get Tsutsui out before reaching home. Moore stepped in and delivered the game-ending blow, his second walkoff hit in the ODAC postseason. His previous walkoff was a blasted home run in the 11th inning of game one against Ferrum to kick off the conference playoffs. Second-seeded Randolph-Macon scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to edge fourth-seeded Shenandoah 3-1 on Friday evening to advance to the ODAC Championship Game against top-seeded and fourth-ranked Lynchburg.

No. 1 Penn State Behrend advanced to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship Series, thanks to a 15-14 victory over No. 6 Pitt-Bradford Friday afternoon. The Lions scored in all but two innings that they came to the plate on Friday as both teams combined for 29 runs on 30 hits. Pitt-Bradford threatened to tie the game in the top of the ninth, getting within a run (15-14) on a pair of home runs off the bat of Alex Ognen and Trent Bielak. However, Behrend reliever Joe Lang secured the win for his fifth save of the year with five strikeouts. All nine Behrend hitters tallied at least one hit with six players registering two or more hits. The Lions opponent will be Alfred State. Alfred State faced two straight elimination games, defeating Pitt-Greensburg 7-5, then taking down Pitt-Bradford 6-4. In the first win, Nathan Lucks led the way on the mound as he notched the win pitching for six innings. Lucks allowed just three runs on 10 hits. Mason Williams got the save on the day as he retired two batters and did not allow any runs. At the plate, Zach Young racked up four total RBIs while hitting 2-4. And Jordan Hughes hit 2-4 while tallying two RBIs. In game two, Hughes prevailed on the mound while pitching for six innings. He tallied three strikeouts and allowed just two runs. Mason Williams notched the save as he pitched for three innings without allowing a single strikeout. Kiefer and Barinas each tallied two RBIs and a double while they hit 2-4 and 1-4 respectively.

Third-seeded Baldwin Wallace defeated fourth-seeded John Carroll in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament hosted by the University of Mount Union by a final score of 9-2 at Rafeld-Rogers Field to advance to the OAC Championship Series for the second straight season. Junior Academic All-OAC left-hander Brit Kostura threw the Jackets' second straight complete game of the tournament where he struck out five and allowed two runs on four hits and a walk.Matt Kilbane and Joey Marousek each led the team going 3-for-5 with four RBI and one RBI, respectively. Ohio Northern kept its Ohio Athletic Conference championship hopes alive with an 8-6 win over Mount Union and a 3-2 walk off win over John Carroll on Friday afternoon. Trailing 5-0, Ohio Northern scored seven runs in the top of the eighth inning to grab a 7-5 lead. In the bottom of the 9th MU loaded the bases and managed to get one run back to make it 8-6. Senior Blake Altaffer got the win for the Polar Bears as he slammed the door shut on the tournament hosts in the bottom of the 9th, with the tying run on second and bases loaded. In the second game of the day for the Polar Bears, it was a defensive battle, with a total of 4 hits each for the two teams on the day. The game remained scoreless until the 8th inning when Kyler Lapp launched a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Veenstra to give ONU the lead at 1-0. John Carroll took the lead in the top of the 9th on a two out 2-run RBI single. Sam Sells was able to reach third base as the tying run with 2-outs in the bottom of the 9th and Robbie Reed stole second to put himself into scoring position as the winning run. Pinch hitter Kyle Callahan launched a single into left, scoring both runners, winning the game and sending Ohio Northern to the championship game.

the championship game as AJ Hamilton tossed a complete
game to defeat No. 6 Edgewood College. In earlier games,
Aurora won twice to stay in contention in the NACC Tourney.

The 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament Championship Game is set for Saturday as Grove City College will take on Westminster College for the title after the two teams emerged from Friday's play. The Wolverines remained undefeated in the Tournament and will need to lose twice Saturday to the Titans. In the opening game of the day, W&J took the lead with two runs in the first inning and would score in six of the first seven innings, as the Presidents dominated Game G for a 14-1 victory over Allegheny. Later in the day with Grove City, W&J tied the game at 1-1 with a solo home run in the eighth inning but Grove City scored three runs in the 10th inning and starting pitcher Bryce Trischler finished a 10-inning complete game, as the Wolverines knocked off the five-time defending conference champions to advance to the PAC Championship game Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines needed an opponent in the championship game and Westminster (Pa.) answered the bell. After scoring twice in the first inning to take the lead, Westminster rode outstanding pitching from Jon Albers and Josh Reed to secure a 3-2 victory over Saint Vincent and advance.

No. 2 Denison continued its conference tournament run on Friday defeating Wittenberh with an 6-2 victory. On the mound, senior Nick Falter recorded his 10th win of the season following a 6.0 inning performance. Sophomore Jack Rollo took the mound in the seventh inning. Rollo lasted 3.0 innings. The duo allowed two runs and combined for five strikeouts. In the box, the offense was led by Alex Vasquez with three RBIs and a triple. Erik Sundgren thundered a ball off the temporary fence of VA Memorial in the sixth inning and Eron Vega drove in the final run to account for Denison's two doubles on the day. – Sophomore Andrew Kerr's first collegiate homer put the exclamation point on a banner day for Wooster, which is now set to play for the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament title on Saturday against Denison University at VA Memorial Stadium. Wooster sent Wabash College home 10-2, then took its first lead in the ninth inning of a 3-2 nightcap triumph over Wittenberg. Wooster (24-16-1), which is making its 22nd championship round or championship series appearance since the league tournament started in 1991, now faces No. 3 Denison University (34-5) on Saturday at 11 a.m. Wooster must knock off Denison twice to earn a conference-best 14th tournament title.

Advancing to Championship Saturday of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Tournament as the lone unbeaten team in the event, North Central College strung together 15 hits to beat the top-seeded Illinois Wesleyan 13-5 on Friday afternoon at Horenberger Stadium. Adding two runs in the top of the ninth, Yuhki Yamada and Parker Wyatt took advantage of a Titan error to give North Central a 13-5 lead. Elijah Hammond picked up the save by keeping the Titans off the board in the ninth to secure the 13-5 victory. Wyatt drove in three runs while scoring twice. Jackson Bland scored three times on two hits and three walks on the day. As a team, the Cardinals drew 11 walks with two hit by pitches. Brian Duvall earned the win with six innings of work, allowing two runs with four strikeouts. Hammond earned the save in his 2.1 innings, allowing no runs and three hits. The Cardinals advance to the CCIW Championship game, taking on Illinois Wesleyan. Illinois Wesleyan sees at least one more day of game play as they move onto the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Championship. The Titans mounted a comeback against Carthage College, 8-3. Freshman Cole Benson took the mound in game two for Illinois Wesleyan and delivered a steady performance, pitching seven innings and striking out three. Benson earned the win, his fourth of the season, as he kept the Carthage offense quiet through most of the contest. Senior Dalen Banks came on in relief for the final two innings, allowing one run but closing the door to preserve the Titans' lead. At the plate, senior Tyler Woltman had a strong outing, finishing 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Junior Jack Flagg went 2-for-4 and added an RBI as the Titans powered their way to an 8-3 victory.

Top-seeded Manchester (28-12) battled past the second-seeded Anderson (26-15) by a score of 16-11 during a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament shootout on Friday at Kokomo Municipal Stadium. Manchester will await the results of the elimination round. Anderson play Transylvania for the final spot in the Championship game. The Transylvania Pioneers survived a tense ninth-inning rally by the Mt. St. Joseph Lions to secure a crucial 7-5 victory. The win propels the Pioneers further into championship contention. Offensively for the Pioneers, Seita Shiratori and Baxter Tedesco were the key players, each collecting two hits and scoring two runs, with Tedesco also driving in two crucial runs. Austin Taylor contributed two hits, a run scored, and an RBI. Ethan Dillon drove in two runs with his early single. Sophomore Nathan Hale delivered a strong start for Transylvania, earning the win by pitching 7.0 innings and allowing only two earned runs on four hits while striking out three. Fifth-year Gabe Dillard provided a scoreless inning of relief.

No. 14 Webster continued their quest in the 2025 SLIAC Tournament with a decision against Spalding at CarShield Field Friday afternoon. The SLIAC Pitcher of the Year Ryan Greifelt pitched a four-hit complete game shutout for the 2-0 victory. With the victory, Webster improves to 35-7 overall and advances to the SLIAC Championship game tomorrow afternoon. The ace of the program in Greifelt took the mound for his 11th start of the season. In the top of the ninth, Greifelt froze the SLIAC Player of the Year in Ethan Tuttle and sent him down on strikes for a huge first out of the inning. Greifelt followed up with a bouncer to Jacob Charlson at second and a flyout to R.J. LaRocco in left field that ended the game. For the game, Greifelt pitched his second complete game of the season and recorded five strikeouts that secured his 12th victory of the season. Nick Schumacher blasted a solo homer while Evan Evola had the only RBI of the game.

Monmouth advanced to the Midwest Conference Championship game with a 12-7 Friday night win over host Lawrence. The Fighting Scots (19-20) will play either Beloit or Lawrence at 2 p.m. Saturday and will have two chances to win the MWC title. Toby Turnquist (4-6) picked up the win as he allowed four runs over six innings and struck out one. Coats earned his second save with three innings of work and one strike out, The Scots will play Lawrence or Beloit. The Bucs earned a spot in the elimination final with a hard-fought 8-7 victory over Grinnell College in a back-and-forth contest on Friday, in a win-or-go-home game. The win boosts Beloit's strong season record to 26-14 overall. Beloit's offense was a consistent threat throughout the game, amassing 14 hits. Jack Alport was a perfect 4-for-4 from the leadoff spot, scoring two crucial runs and drawing a walk. Elijah Love also had a standout performance, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBIs, a double, and two walks, including the eventual game-winning RBI.

For the second time in a week, senior Mark Eddie pitched a nine-inning complete game against Coe, and with this outing, he lifts Buena Vista into the championship game of the American Rivers Conference Tournament with a 3-0 victory over the Kohawks on Friday afternoon inside of Veterans Memorial Stadium. Eddie was in control from the opening pitch, allowing only four hits, striking out three and walking only one, as the Kohawks never reached third base the entire way. The only real threat Coe had came in the top of the first when Jake Brosius singled with two outs, stole second and Tyce Johnson walked. Eddie, however, worked out of the jam with a flyout to end the inning. Eddie now has 88 strikeouts this season which puts him into a tie for third on the program's single-season list and only two shy of second. To reach the championship game against Buena Vista, Coe will have to defeat Nebraska Wesleyan, a 6-5 winner over Luther.

No. 25 UW-Oshkosh will play in the second WIAC Tournament championship game in four years after defeating UW-Platteville, 15-5, in seven innings at Prucha Field in Whitewater on Friday. The third-seeded Titans (31-11) won all five games over the Pioneers (20-19) this season, adding a victory to their conference-opening series sweep at Tiedemann Field on March 27-28. Their overall winning streak also increased to 10 games, the longest this season. Oshkosh has scored 30 runs across 15 innings in the conference tournament after defeating second-seeded UW-La Crosse, 15-4, in eight innings on Friday. Titan batters accumulated 20 hits including six doubles and a home run.
Brett Gaynor was UW-Oshkosh's starter on Friday, moving to a 6-2 record in 12 appearances and nine starts. He threw 6.2 innings and fanned six batters while allowing five runs (three earned) on 10 hits. Ryan Richter played the relief role for the second straight day, striking out the only Pioneer he faced. At the plate, every Oshkosh batter hit safely at least twice and recorded at least one hit. Nick Shiu and Jake Surane both went 4-for-5. They also added three runs along with Logan Schill and both Surane and Owen Housinger recorded three RBIs. Surane and Jack McNamara had two doubles, Shiu and Zach Taylor had one, and Schill hit a home run.

The second day of the 2025 UMAC Baseball Tournament took place on Friday at ISG Field in Mankato, Minnesota. After day two, the Bethany Lutheran College Vikings and the Crown College Polars had secured their path to the championship games on Saturday. Crown opened the day with a 6-1 win over the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars. Ashton Long hit two home runs for the Polars in the win. The first was a solo shot in the second inning to give Crown a 1-0 lead. The second was a two-run bomb in the eighth inning to put the Polars up 6-1. Ryan Vondracek pitched a complete game for Crown, allowing just one run while striking out seven. Bethany Lutheran earned a narrow 4-3 victory over Northwestern in game four of the tournament. The Vikings led 3-0 going into the eighth inning before the Eagles rallied to tie the game at 3-3 by scoring on a groundout and a two-RBI single by Beau Rabey. In the bottom of the eighth, Aidan Russell drove in the go-ahead run for Bethany Lutheran with a two-out RBI single up the middle to put the Vikings back on top 4-3. Sean Gamble earned the win for Bethany Lutheran, allowing just three runs while striking out 11 through 8.2 innings. The final game of the day saw the Polars’ bats explode for 20 runs while Crown’s arms pitched a 20-0 shutout. Crown outhit Northwestern 16-3 in the win while committing zero errors to the Eagles’ three.

The Boxers defeated Puget Sound 7-2 Friday afternoon to advance to Saturday's championship game. Pacific fifth-year senior Davis Koester delivered the first blow, hitting a towering two-run homer to left field to give the Boxers a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. After the Loggers tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the fourth, Vincent Lagatta gave the lead back to Pacific in the bottom of the inning, scoring on an RBI double to deep center field by Riz Collado, who then scored on a fielder's choice ground ball by Binyam Gebhardt. Benjamin Lewis added a two-run homer in the fifth inning to extend the Boxers lead to 6-2. Governor Aufranc earned the win for Pacific, allowing seven hits and two runs over six innings. William Merriott shut out the Loggers over the final three innings to record the save. Koester went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs to lead the Boxers at the plate. Pacific will play for the 2025 Northwest Conference title against Whitworth. Whitworth University rode the stellar pitching of Quentin O'Connor to a 7-1 win over Puget Sound in a loser-out game at the Northwest Conference tournament at Pacific University's Chuck Bafaro Stadium. O'Connor, who threw three innings of scoreless relief to earn a save in Friday's early 7-3 win over Linfield, tossed a five-hit complete game to improve to 8-3 this season. Over the course of 12 innings on Friday, O'Connor allowed only one run, struck out ten batters and got stronger as the day progressed. He gave up a solo home run to Puget Sound's Kai Teruya leading off the second inning and nothing else. Over the game's final five frames, he retired the side in order in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings and allowed only a two-out single in the sixth and one-out single to Teruya in the ninth.

In an instant classic at Ben Hines Field, La Verne outlasted Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a grueling 11-inning battle, earning an 11-10 victory in their second game of the SCIAC Tournament. The win propels the Leopards (33-8) into the SCIAC Championship game, scheduled for Saturday. The Leopards and Stags traded punches all afternoon in a dramatic, back-and-forth showdown. After building an early 2-0 lead, La Verne found themselves trailing 5-2 following a five-run fifth inning by CMS. But the Leopards answered immediately with a five-run fifth of their own, sparked by a Logan Reese single up the middle, who then advanced to second on a fielding error by the center fielder and ultimately scored on the same play—effectively resulting in an inside-the-park home run due to the error and heads-up base running. After both teams continued to exchange runs, CMS tied the game at 10-10 in the top of the ninth on a sacrifice fly. From there, the bullpens took over until La Verne delivered the final blow in the bottom of the 11th. With two on and one out, Logan Reese laced a walk-off single to center field, bringing home Nate Perry and setting off a celebration at home plate. No. 2 seed Pomona-Pitzer defeated No. 4 seed Redlands 4-2 to stay alive and move on in the SCIAC Tournament. The Sagehens will now play the No. 3 CMS for a spot in the championship round. Jack Wiessinger paced the team with 8.1 innings on the mound, giving up just two runs with three strikeouts. Eamonn Woods earned the save after striking out one. Xavier Hattenburg drove in a team-high two runs while Cooper Berry and Tanner DeGrazia each added an RBI.
