Scouting report
- St. Thomas (Minn.) is playing their last season in D-III and would like to make it three World Series titles. The Tommies won the D-III world Series in 2001 and 2009. This will be St. Thomas' seventh World Series appearance since 1999, the season when current head coach Chris Olean was an All-America pitcher and led the Tommies to an NCAA runner-up finish.
- St. Thomas needed to win two on the final day of the Collegeville Regional against Pacific and did just that to win the Collegeville Regional. St. Thomas needed for their offense to score some runs and they did at more than a run/game that their regular season average.
- Head coach, Chris Olean, described his team in the beginning of the 2021 campaign like this. "We have a very deep team with some key returners back. We will be very athletic in the field and should be able to run and have added a few guys with some power to the middle. We will be very good on the mound and have swing in miss potential across the entire staff. This team is built to make a nice run if things come together".
