Joe Pradat's bunt single in the bottom of the ninth lifted No. 10 LaGrange to a 3-2 win over Huntingdon on Friday at Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium.
The Panthers improved to 16-2 overall and 6-1 in the USA South with the victory. Huntingdon slipped to 4-12 and 2-2 in the conference.
Cain Sauls started the ninth inning rally with a one-out walk off Zach McGrady (1-5). Blane Swift followed with a double to the base of the left field fence as Sauls stopped at third.
Chad Pigg was walked intentionally to load the bases. Pradat dropped a bunt down in front of home plate as Sauls dashed home standing up for the winning run.
Sauls' two-run single in fourth gave LC an early 2-0 lead. The Hawks got a unearned run in the fifth and another in the sixth to tie the game.
Jonathan Fleckenstein pitched two innings of relief to raise his record to 4-1. Ryan Broaderick started and went seven innings, allowing the two unearned runs. He gave up five hits, walked none and struck out three.
The three runs and seven hits for the Panthers were season lows. Swift had two of the hits, including the double.
The two teams conclude their USA South series with a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon.
