How it Happened
Brevard used a pair of two-run singles after loading the bases and added another run on a bases loaded walk, plating five runs in the eighth inning to take a 9-3 win.

Pfeiffer took the early 1-0 lead in the second inning after Bryan Kowalski (Kernersville, N.C.) started the inning with a single through the left side of the Brevard infield.  After he stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch, Noah Handy (Burlington, N.C.) grounded out to first base allowing Kowalski to scamper home.

Brevard would tie it at 1-1 in the top of the third inning, and would take the 4-1 lead in the fifth inning.  Pfeiffer drew to 4-3 in the home half of the fifth after Bryce Marsh (Asheboro, N.C.) lifted his second home run of the season, a two-run shot to right field.

Over the next two innings, neither team could score until Brevard's outburst in the eighth.

Kowalski led the Falcons, going 3-of-3 on the afternoon with a run scored while Marsh had a pair of RBI on his homer, going 2-or-4 on the afternoon.
