Eastern gave the Spartans' their second loss in as many games since the release of the latest poll. York was not the only upset as NC Wesleyan fell to Southern Virginia on a light slate of games on Thursday.
April 12, 2023 Halloran, Aukerman, Martinez honored with NCBWA award The catalyst behind Emory averaging over 20 runs per game during a four-game UAA series, a no-hitter on the celebration honoring the 50th anniversary of the founding of the program, and a nine-RBI doubleheader took home this week’s NCBWA honors.
August 2, 2018 Schlegelmilch gets second stint as Southern Virginia head coach Southern Virginia school officials named Jerry Schlegelmilch as the seventh head baseball coach in the program's history. Schlegelmilch previously served as Southern Virginia's third head baseball coach from 2002-06.
February 3, 2018 William Peace walks off for second win, Top 25 teams roll William Peace walked off in game one against Southern Virginia, 6-5, dropping the nightcap 4-3. In the Top 25, all three teams playing Saturday swept their doubleheaders with Cal Lutheran and La Grange rebounding from opening losses and Centenary (La.) moving to 2-0.
March 31, 2016 Begg and Iseneker grab weekly honors Southern Virginia’s Marcus Begg and St. John Fisher’s Mark Iseneker gained Hitter and Pitcher of the Week standing on the Division III National Collegiate Baseball Writers’ Association awards for the period of March 21-27.
