July 15, 2024 Youngblood is first DIII player drafted On Day two of the MLB Amateur Draft, Transylvania's Trent Youngblood was the first player from the DIII ranks to hear his name announced. Nolan Sparks, Rochester and Hunter Dryden, Whitworth were drafted on the final day.
March 9, 2024 Staying perfect Benedictine (7-0) and Kalamazoo (8-0) stayed perfect through games on Saturday. Benedictine did it with a 6-2 win over Hope and Kalamazoo swept a pail in Jacksonville, Illinois. Other teams who have played a minimum of five games and are still without a loss include No. 2 Endicott (6-0), Johnston and Wales (5-0) and Whitworth (10-0).
