    Benedictine (7-0) and Kalamazoo (8-0) stayed perfect through games on Saturday. Benedictine did it with a 6-2 win over Hope and Kalamazoo swept a pail in Jacksonville, Illinois. Other teams who have played a minimum of five games and are still without a loss include No. 2 Endicott (6-0), Johnston and Wales (5-0) and Whitworth (10-0).
  • CNU gets pitching, walkoff on a busy Friday

    CNU pitchers struck out 19 Pacers as they opened their season with a walk-off win in extra innings over William Peace. The NWC was the offensive leaders as Whitworth scored 18 and George Fox got 20 as both opened their seasons with thunder.
  • Millsaps defeats top seed in SAA tounament

    Millsaps defeated Hendrix, the top seed in the SAA tournament on Friday. The news was not good for the USA South #1 seed, Piedmont who exited their postseason set with a 0-2 record. Only NWC top seed, Whitworth was a winner on Friday.

    The first D-III player taken in this year's MLB amateur player draft was Hugh Smith, a righthander out of Whitworth and was the only name called on day two. Christian Cosby, Chapman was the first of 11 players drafted on the third and final day of the MLB draft.

    Spokane was added as the regional host in late March. Adrian and the MAC was announce as NCAA Regional hosts in mid February. William Peace and Cortland were tabbed to host Regionals in 2017 with Webster, Mass-Maritime and St. Scholastica added in early 2018.

    Dan Ramsay, who has guided Whitworth for nine years, is leaving to become the manager of the Minnesota Twins’ minor league team in the Gulf Coast League. School officials named Pirate assistant coach CJ Perry as the school’s interim head coach.
