Flermoen takes over the reins for North Central (Minn.)

Kenny Flermoen will be in his first year as head coach of the North Central (Minn.) program in 2012-13 after serving two years as an assistant coach at NCU. Flermoen replaces Jim Nunn who guided NCU to a 15-19 record in his only season as head coach for the Rams.

Coach Flermoen graduated from Columbia Southern University with a degree in Sports Management in the fall of 2011. Flermoen is a graduate of Columbia Heights (Minn.) High School where he was a three-year starter on the Varsity team and led the team in batting average as a senior.

His coaching career has included stints with the Columbia Heights VFW team, Fridley High School, Fridley VFW and Fridley Babe Ruth. He whe works the hitters and infielders at NCU. Coach Flermoen and wife Nikki currently reside in Stillwater.
