complete game in UW-Whitewater's season opening win over No. 2 St.

Three Tommie relievers combined to throw four shutout innings and No. 2-ranked St. Thomas rallied from a 4-3 deficit to post a 6-4 win in game two and a split of Thursday's late Metrodome doubleheader against No. 11-ranked UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks won game one 4-2. Whitewater's Justin Lambert allowed five hits and two runs in a complete-game mound effort in game one. He got all the runs he needed with a three-run first inning keyed by hits from Jared Fon, Marty Herum and Samuel Keller.

Keystone improved to 7-1 on the season with a pair of wins over 2012 conference champions and NCAA Tournament participants as the Giants opened their Spring Break trip in Florida. Keystone claimed a tight, 4-3 win over defending Freedom Conference champion Misericordia in the opener before scoring an 8-3 decision over La Roche, the reigning Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference champion, in the nightcap.
LaGrange got great pitching and timely hitting to upend fifth-ranked Christopher Newport 3-1 in Williamson Stadium at Cleaveland Field. The Panthers, with their fourth straight win, evened their season record at 8-8. The Panthers' Drew Williamson outdueled Christopher Newport ace Austin Chrismon. Williamson pitched into the seventh inning, allowing a run on four hits. Chrismon went the distance for the Captains, scattering eight hits and giving up a season-high with the three runs by the Panthers.

Huntingdon senior Trey Smith made his only at-bat count. Smith, pinch-hitting in the bottom of the ninth inning, stepped to plate with the bases loaded, one out and the Hawks down by two runs. With a full count, the left-handed Smith ripped a triple down the right-field line to clear the bases and give Huntingdon a 6-5 win over eighth-ranked Adrian.
Texas-Tyler started ASC play with a 7-1 win over Mississippi College on. In the win, designated hitter Kevan House went an impressive 2-for-4 with one run scored and two RBI. Patriots' starter Chance Cotton was a workhorse, throwing 110 pitches in eight innings of work, striking out five while walking four batters.
Aurora followed yesterday's setback with a 4-3 loss to Trine. The Spartans reboundied with a 6-2 win to salvage a split in the two game series in Winter Haven , Fla. Trine ended their Florida trip 4-4, Aurora has one more game before heading home this weekend.
Sophomore Charles Thielmann tossed a complete game, but La Verne was able to push across the winning run in the bottom of the eighth to edge Kean, 2-1. With one out in the bottom of the eighth, senior Cody Hazel dunked a ball into the gap in right center, reaching second. Junior George Holland then found the gap in left center to push across what would be the winning run.
