Dylan Dean Smith (JR, Edwards County HS, IL) threw the first nine-inning no-hitter in Webster history as the Gorlok baseball team remained unbeaten in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  Webster drubbed Blackburn College, 15-2, and blanked MacMurray College courtesy of Smith's pitching gem, 6-0.  With the victories, both played at Carlinville, IL, on April 13, the #15-ranked Gorloks improve to 12-0 in the SLIAC and 20-6 overall.

In the 6-0 finale, Smith only faced 28 MacMurray batters, one over the minimum, as he struck out nine and walked none.  Two Highlanders reached base on errors, one in the first was eliminated by a double play, and one in the second inning.  Smith set down the final 22 MacMurray batters after the error in the second.  He lowered his season ERA to 3.12 with the shutout, and is 3-0 on the year.

Webster scored two runs in the first when Brett Buchanan (JR, Willowbrook HS, IL) doubled in two runs with two out.  Buchanan would score the Gorloks' third run of the game in the fourth, after walking, stealing second, and scoring on a Ryan Hall (JR, Central Arkansas, MO) single.

The Gorloks added two more in the sixth and  one more in the eighth for the 6-0 final score.  Taylor Stoulp (JR, St. Mary's HS, MO) was two for two, with three RBIs, two runs, and a double in the game.  Mike Rainbolt (SR, Kankakee CC, IL) was two for two, with two RBIs, a double, walk, and a run scored.  Alex Kazmierski (SR, Triton College, IL) was two for three, with two RBIs and a run scored.

In the game one victory over Blackburn, the Gorloks scored a run in the first inning and seven runs in the second inning to stake starting pitcher Steven Dooley (SR, Oran HS, MO) to an 8-0 lead.  All seven runs in the second were scored after two were out and Ian Foege (JR, Eureka HS, MO), who had walked, was at first.

Mitchell Bonds (SR, Kankakee CC, IL) and Cody Stevenson (SR, Centralia HS, IL) followed with walks and Corey Lasky reached on an error, scoring Foege.  Taylor Stoulp cleared the bases with a three run double.  Rainbolt doubled, scoring Stoulp and came around to score on a single by Kazmierski.  Buchanan singled Kazmierski to third, and Kazmierski scored as Ryan Hall reached on an error.

Webster would score another run in the third, three more in the fourth, and three more in the sixth, as the Gorloks scored 15 or more runs for the fourth time this season.  Stoulp wound up two for two, with three RBIs and two runs scored.  Rainbolt was two for two, with two RBIs, a double, walk, and a run scored.  Kazmierski ended the game two for three, with two RBIs and a run scored.

Dooley went five innings, giving up six hits, two runs, no walks, and struck out five.  He is 4-2 on the season.  Kevin Lashley (JR, Southwestern Illinois CC) and Ryan Martinez (SR, Illinois Valley CC) finished up on the mound, each pitching a scoreless inning.
