Concordia-Chicago shook off an early loss on Monday with a seven run first inning and cruised to an 8-2 win over Gywnedd-Mercy. The Cougars needed some late offense as they scored nine runs in the final three innings to complete a sweep of the Griffins by a 9-2 score.

Saint Mary's (Minn.) continued to score runs at an alarming rate. The Cardinals erupted for 21 runs in sweeping its nonconference doubleheader against Lyndon State 8-4 and 13-2. St. Mary's is averaging nearly nine runs a game over their first six games.

Otterbein continued its solid start to the season recently, sweeping a doubleheader in moving to a perfect 6-0. Otterbein tallied a pair of lopsided victories come Tuesday morning against Finlandia University (Mich.), winning 9-1 in the opener before pulling away to post an 18-1 win in the rematch. Nich Pitzer drove in three runs in the first contest while Simmerman finished 3 for 4 with three RBI and four runs scored in the ensuing contest.

Will Estes got the win and Grant Perkins had two hits as Berry took the season series against LaGrange with a 6-2 victory. Estes improved his record to a perfect 2-0. He pitched five innings of one-hit ball. Berry outhit LaGrange, 7-6.

Howard Payne captured non-conference wins 2-1 and 14-7 over Arlington Baptist at Don Shepard Park. Howard Payne got a 2-1 victory in game one over Arlington Baptist scoring single runs in the fifth and sixth innings. The Jackets used a seven run third and three run fourth to cruise to a 14-7 victory in game two of the doubleheader.

Manhattanville split a doubleheader with Muhlenberg, losing game one 8-6 while winning game two 5-3. In game one, the Mules came back from an early deficit, After allowing five runs in the top of the first, back-to-back four-run frames in the second and third put the Mules up 8-6, and they held on for the win. Dillon Healy picked up his first collegiate win for Manhattanville, tossing 6.1 strong innings, allowing one earned run on five total hits.

Susquehanna's 5-2 win over No. 24 Misericordia marked the second of back-to-back wins for the Crusaders in Fort Pierce, Fla. The Crusaders used a four-run second inning to help get past the Cougars, dealing them their first loss of the season. Dylan Glassmire went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI. Four of Susquehanna's nine hits went for extra bases, with three doubles and a triple off the bat of Glassmire.

Junior catcher Chris Burns hit his second go-ahead homer of the week and Zach Nadolny went five innings to pick up the win in a 7-4 game one victory over St. John's (Minn.). The tide turned in game two for the Johnnies as SJU built a 3-0 lead and held on for the 3-1 win and a split in the two game series.
