Marietta solidified its first place standing in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a doubleheader sweep of Heidelberg Saturday in Peaceful Valley. The Pioneers have a two game lead in the OAC. Christian Herstine struck out a career-high 15 Berg hitters in Marietta's 7-1 win in the first game. Herstine scattered five hits, all singles, over eight innings and allowed just one unearned run.
Matt Bender beat out a two-out bunt single in the bottom of the ninth as the winning run scored to give Southern Maine a 3-2, come-from-behind victory over the visiting Western Connecticut State Colonials in the nightcap of the teams' Little East Conference doubleheader at the USM Baseball Stadium. In the opening game, the Colonials bunched together five hits, a sacrifice bunt and a sac fly to score four times in the fifth inning, then held off the Huskies for a 4-3 victory that snapped the Huskies' nine-game winning streak.
The No. 20-ranked Texas-Tyler Patriots suffered its first series loss at home this season after being swept by Ozarks in a doubleheader at Irwin Field. The Patriots opened the series with a 5-4 win on Friday, but saw the Eagles come out take 11-2 and 7-4 wins on Saturday to take the series. Texas-Tyler has now dropped two straight series after falling at Belhaven last weekend.
Ripon defeating the Vikings for their 14th consecutive win in the series. That streak would come to an end in the second game with a Lawrence win. Lawrence pounded out 14 hits in the nightcap to earn a Midwest Conference doubleheader split with Ripon College at Whiting Field. The Vikings took the nightcap 13-6, and Ripon won the opener 5-2. In the second game, Lawrence rookie Andrew Lauber went 2-for-4, including his first career homer, and drove in three runs. Another freshman, Nolan Spencer, went 3-for-5, and Brandon Klar, Dan Rothbauer and Travis Weber had two hits apiece.

Rutgers-Camden baseball team is getting a well-deserved reputation as a giant killer this season and the Scarlet Raptors added another highly-ranked team to its list of victims as it split a NJAC doubleheader with No. 1 Ramapo. Kyle Gaff set program record with 14th career save Rutgers-Camden won the opening game, 6-3, behind the combined pitching of Billy Jackson andc who set the program's career record with his 14th save. In the nightcap, the nationally-ranked Roadrunners edged the Scarlet Raptors, 2-1, snapping Rutgers-Camden's six-game winning streak in the head-to-head series.
Stellar pitching performances from Jake Fishman and Adam Ashenfarb paved the way for Union's doubleheader sweep over Rochester at UR's Towers Field. Union took game one 5-1 in nine innings and shutout Rochester 5-0 in game two, extending its winning streak to 10 games. Fishman struck out a career-high 18 batters in a nine-inning complete game, allowing just one run and six hits in the opener while Ashenfarb spun a seven-inning, four-hit shutout in game two for the Dutchmen.
Penn State Behrend hit five home runs in the second game of an AMCC doubleheader that lifted them to a split against Penn State Altoona, losing 7-2 and winning 13-1 respectively. In their win, John Hlavinka, William Kirkpatrick, David Boehme, Ian Taylor and Alex Margraf all hit long balls to give Behrend one win on the day.
WPI scored 11 runs in the fourth inning of the opener to rout the Bears 23-3 before Coast Guard won the nightcap 8-5 to split a NEWMAC doubleheader.
Washington (Mo.) posted a 6-5 15-inning win in game one to highlight a pair of wins over Chicago at Kelly Field. Washington recorded an 11-1 victory in game two. Junior Austin Darmawan went 5-for-8 with four runs scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases in the doubleheader sweep, and was on base eight times.
Saint John's baseball rode the momentum of a walk-off win in game one to fuel an offensive outburst in the nightcap for a doubleheader sweep of Gustavus Adolphus. The Johnnies came back from two, two-run deficits in game one and won the game 7-6 thanks to a two-out, three-run homer from senior Patrick Strey. SJU then scored seven runs in the first two innings and cracked 20 hits in game two's 16-3 victory. SJU's top four hitters in the lineup combined to 26-for-36 (.722) with six doubles, two triples, two home runs, 16 RBI and 16 runs scored on the day.
Rosario DiLorenzo earned his fourth victory of the season in game one as the St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) pushed five runs across in the fifth with two outs for a 7-2 victory, but St. Joseph's (Long Island) triumphed in a 1-0 pitcher's duel in game two, salvaging a split between the sibling rivals in a Skyline Conference doubleheader.
Thomas Malik threw a two-hitter in game one and Alvernia pounded out 14 runs in game two as the Crusaders swetp a doubleheader from Lebanon Valley in MAC Commonwealth baseball action at Angelica Park.
