Elmira dropped a pair of non-conference contests to the visiting Lions of Penn State Behrend in its 2017 home and regular-season finale at historic Dunn Field on Tuesday. The Lions earned the sweep with a 13-8 victory in the early game and a 7-3 win in the nightcap. In between the two games, the Purple and Gold honored the three seniors – Dylan Bellinger, Hayden Rothenberg, and Joe Marigliano as part of Class of 2017 Recognition Day. In the last home games of their respective careers, Marigliano tossed an inning of relief, while Rothenberg combined for two hits and two RBIs, and Bellinger batted 3-for-7 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBIs. In both bouts, late runs helped the Lions pad their lead and extinguish any comeback attempts by the Soaring Eagles.

Penn College split a North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader with Keuka at Houghton College. The Wildcats won the first game 5-1 before dropping the nightcap 8-7. Penn College locked in the No. 2 seed in this weekend's NEAC Playoffs after completing the season at 11-4 NEAC, 23-11 overall. It is the Wildcats second trip in three years to the NEAC postseason after winning the 2015 Championship as a four seed. Penn College is scheduled to play No. 3 Penn State Berks Friday in the first round. Penn College got an outstanding outing from starting pitcher Brad Walter, who fired a complete-game five-hitter with one run. Penn College dropped game two of the doubleheader with Keuka 8-7. It was a back in forth game that saw a number of ties and lead changes.
Marian closed out the season falling to UW-Stevens Point 13-1 in eight innings and 10-1 in seven innings. The Pointers scored early to take control in both games and score late to insure a win at the conclusion of both contests.
The University of Chicago scored four unearned runs to defeat Benedictine 6-4 in the regular season finale for the Eagles under the lights. As both teams emptied their dugouts 42 combined players saw action. Benedictine will head into the conference tournament as the fourth seed, facing fifth-seeded Dominican on Thursday at Concordia Wisconsin.
