Rowan defeated host Moravian, 6-3 in non-conference action on Monday. The Profs are 18-4 overall while the Greyhounds have a 13-12 record. Third baseman Justin Provost led the Profs at the plate with three hits (five at bats), a double and one RBI. First baseman Anthony Harrold produced a three-run homer. Left fielder Monny Strickland posted two hits and scored one time.
Freshman Brian Kane settled after allowing three runs in the first inning to go seven and two-thirds innings, and the offense batted around and scored five runs in the fourth as Alvernia (18-8) defeated #10 TCNJ by a 7-6 final in non-conference baseball at Angelica Park. Four different players had multi-hit games for the Wolves led by Matt Briner who went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Alex Salesky was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Kane's line was 7.2 innings, six runs on nine hits with three strikeouts.
Sophomore Brett Dooley's two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning drove in the go-ahead run as Westfield State rallied from an 8-1 deficit in the seventh inning to defeat Coast Guard, 12-8, in a non-conference game at Bud and Jim Hagan Field. Westfield trailed 8-1 after the top of the seventh inning, but the Owls found some five o'clock lightning, scoring four runs in the seventh, and six in the eighth to post the win. Westfield improves to 12-11-1 on the season, while Coast Guard drops to 6-12.
With all eyes on Louisiana College in front of a statewide television audience, the Wildcats played one of their most complete games of the season in a key 8-2 win over Centenary (La.). Louisiana knocked off their in-state rival to improve to 16-9 on the season in front of an even bigger American Southwest Conference series this weekend against the University of Texas at Tyler. Blayne Haro (3-3) picked up his third win of the season, allowing just two hits with one strikeout in the start. Bolyer and Ducote each tossed two innings of shutout ball with a strikeout each and Phillip Vidrine got the final four outs of the game, the final three on strikeouts in the ninth.
First baseman James Spilko collected three hits and scored three runs to support pitcher Andrew Fabry who matched his career high with eight strikeouts as Albion salvaged a game in the MIAA series with Calvin with a 6-1 victory in the second game of the Monday doubleheader at Calvin. Calvin won the first three games of the series, including the first game of the Monday doubleheader, 4-3 in 10 innings. Fabry (3-1) scattered five hits in his second complete game of the season. Calvin's run was unearned as Mitch Mustert reached base safely to leadoff the third inning. Fabry retired nine batters in a row after Mustert scored to cut the Albion lead to 3-1.
Freshman Jason Komulainen went 2 for 3 with five RBI to help Southern Maine defeat the visiting Plymouth State Panthers, 13-10, in a non-conference game at Ed Flaherty Field. The win was the fifth straight for the Huskies, and their eighth in the last nine. Komulainen had an RBI sacrifice fly to drive in USM's first run in the third inning, an RBI single to plate the first run in a six-run uprising in the fourth, and a three-run double in the Huskies' decisive six-run sixth inning. Sophomore Colton Lawrence, the third of seven USM pitchers used in the game, got his second win of the season with one shutout inning of relief. Dexter was called upon to get the final out to earn his seventh save of the season and the 20th of his career to break the previous mark of 19 set by former All-American Andrew Richards.

Junior Edward Lehr doubled and scored twice and first-year Alex Luka went seven innings to pick up his first career win as visiting Babson defeated UMass Dartmouth, 6-2, in non-conference action. With its 10th straight win, Babson improves to 17-7 overall. UMass Dartmouth, which has lost five of its last six games, falls to 11-8 on the year. Sophomore Jake Oliger went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, and senior Ryan Arena, classmate David Lennon and sophomore Matthew Valente all contributed two hits and scored once for the Beavers. Luka allowed just two runs on six hits while striking out five to improve to 1-1 this spring.
Sophomore Brody Labbe and freshman Andrew Olliwerther had two hits and a run batted in each as Montclair State knocked off Lehman 6-4 at Yogi Berra Stadium. Kyle Missry and Rob Lombardo each drove in a run as the Red Hawks improved to 16-8 on the year with the win. Carlo Francisco drove in a pair of runs for Lehman, which fell to 10-13. The two teams are scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, April 17 at Yogi Berra Stadium.
Gwynedd Mercy broke a tie game with two runs in the eighth and three in the ninth to go on and defeat Misericordia, 10-5, Monday afternoon. Starter Nick DeRitis scattered three earned runs on five hits over seven innings full with a pair of strikeouts and just one walk to pick up the win. Teammate Dave Tatoian was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two RBI's and a stolen base. Justin Curtin had two runs, two RBI's and two swipes.
Marywood scored three runs in their last at-bat to outlast Scranton 19-18 in non-conference action at The U's new Volpe Field. Michael Tempel tied a program record with six hits in the win. Marywood moves to 10-7 on the year with the marathon win while Scranton fell to 8-9. Marywood set a new team record with 50 at-bats in the game and tied the second-highest team mark with 23 hits. In a game that featured numerous lead changes, Marywood would plate eight of their 19 runs in the first and ninth innings.
