Westminster (Pa.) split a conference doubleheader with Thiel at home Wednesday. The Titans scored four runs in the eighth inning to take a 7-6 game one win, while the Tomcats rallied with six runs in the ninth to win 7-6 in game two.
Senior Andrew Schuler recorded his 200th career strikeout with eight strong innings and DeSales earned an important non-conference win, 2-1, over Swarthmore in 10 innings on Wednesday afternoon. Schuler becomes just the second player in team history, joining DeSales' Hall of Famer Brian Gillow, with 200 career strikeouts. He now has 205 career strikouts. He was outstanding on Wednesday earning a no-decision pitching eight strong innings allowing just four hits and one run, striking out 10.
Junior Chris Panzarella, sophomore Adam Kelly, and senior Eric Drzewiecki combined for 10 hits and 13 RBIs to lead Keystone to a 21-3 victory over Clarks Summit in the first of a two-game CSAC series at Christy Mathewson Field. Panzarella finished with four hits, including two doubles, and four RBIs, Kelly had three hits, including a home run, and five RBIs, and Drzewiecki contributed three hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs as the Giants won their fourth straight game to improve to 19-7 overall and 7-0 in the CSAC. Overall, Keystone belted out a season-high 23 hits. Sophomores Kegan Laman and Andreas Bailey each had a hit and drove in a run for the Defenders, now 0-18 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
The Baldwin Wallace exploded for 25 runs against Heidelberg as the Yellow Jackets notched their second straight Ohio Athletic Conference sweep. BW (21-9, 7-5 OAC) took game one over Heidelberg (17-11, 5-7 OAC) by a score of 11-6 and then earned the sweep with a 14-4 win in game two. Dudley Taw had eight hits on the day with five RBIs.
Mount Union split an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader with John Carroll as they won the first game 4-0 and lost game two 6-0 at Richard Coppola Field at Austintown-Fitch High School. With the split, Mount Union goes to 15-11 overall and 6-6 in the OAC while John Carroll goes to 16-11 and 7-5 in the conference. Game one saw Phil Mary throw a complete game as he faced just two batters over the minimum of 27. Mary now goes to 4-3 on the year as he had eight strikeouts and allowed just four hits. Game two was another pitcher's duel, this time John Carroll's Fred Moore erned a seven hit shutout.

Senior Eddie Harper posted a milestone as he collected his 100th career hit in game two of the doubleheader split at rival and NCAA Division III #15 Marietta. The Muskingum baseball team won a thrilling 2-1 opener but fell 9-2 in the nightcap.
An offensive onslaught in the first inning coupled with six errors by Salem State gave the sixth ranked Beacons their 13th consecutive win as they defeated the Vikings 15-1 at Monan Park. To say that the Vikings struggled defensively would be an understatement, as they were charged with six errors, which UMB turned into a season-high 11 runs. The Beacons successfully batted through the order in the opening frame, with no outs on the scoreboard. Every player that came to the dish, made their way home thanks to either a hit or an error. All 11 runs allowed by the Vikings were unearned as starter Andrew McLaughlin was left to fend for himself. The right allowed just six hits and did not record strikeout or a walk in 2/3 of an inning. Dylan McCormick closed out the frame, and finished with a team-high two strikeouts.
The ball was flying out of Towers Field on Wednesday afternoon as Rochester and Vassar combined for 40 runs and nine home runs as the two foes split the Liberty League double-header. UR dominated the first game, launching four long balls on their way to defeat the brewers 20-1. The tables turned for game two as Vassar hit four home runs of their own and defeated the Yellowjackets 14-5.
The Hampden-Sydney Tigers had a big eighth inning to end a pitcher's duel while upsetting fourth-ranked Randolph-Macon 8-1. The game was knotted at 1-1 through seven and a half innings, but the Tigers batted through the order while scoring seven in the eighth for the upset. The Tigers now improve to 14-15 overall and 7-8 in the ODAC while Randolph-Macon falls to 24-4-1 on the season and 14-2 in ODAC play.
Ryan Sciullo became the Presidents' career triples leader as Washington & Jefferson swept a two-game Presidents' Athletic Conference series against Waynesburg by scores of 11-1 and 4-1, respectively. Sciullo's record-breaking triple came in the first inning of game one as he sent the first pitch he saw to deep center for the 19th of his career, passing Josh Staniscia as the W&J all-time leader. The two wins move the Presidents to 19-9-1 on the year with an 11-1 PAC record, while Waynesburg falls to 7-19 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
Nichols suffered a 23-7 setback to Mitchell in non-conference play. The Mariners (20-5 overall) broke out for a season-high 23 hits and scored runs in all but two innings. Garet Griffin led the offense, going 5-for-6 with three RBI and five runs scored. Eric Marriott was 3-for-6 with three runs scored and an RBI, while Peter Abate was 2-for-5 with three RBI and three runs scored. Cam Cook went a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate to lead the Bison, while Nick Roy was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Joe Assenzawent 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI, while Xavier Quinones was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Penn State Harrisburg used a seven rally in the seventh inning to overpower Wesley in CAC action. The Lions offense produced nine extra base hits from seven different players in route to the victory. Zachary Koroneos when 4-5 driving in 5 RBI's for the Lions.The Lions will celebrate Senior Day and host Christopher Newport in a doubleheader on Saturday April 20th.
In a swift conference battle at Captains Park, ninth-ranked Christopher Newport improved to 28-6, 12-2 with an 8-2 win over Southern Virginia. The Captains smacked five extra-base hits, including the ninth home run of the season for Seth Woodard. Southern Virginia fell to 15-14 overall with a 6-7 record in conference play. The Captains outhit the Knights, 12-7, and scored at least one run in five of eight trips to the plate.
Michael Moreau had three hits and drove in five runs as visiting Curry topped Dean, 11-7, in non-league action, thee win for the Colonels is their third in a row and inches their overall record closer to .500 (9-10). Justin Cage, Tyler Jenkins and Dylan Ketterer all had two hits for the Colonels. Matt Hailey (Weymouth, Mass.) picked up his first win of the season on the hill. The senior went two innings while allowing two runs on two hits. He struck out one and also walked one.Dean pounded out 12 hits on Wednesday, led by Fish's three hits and three RBI. Cox, Callahan and Travis Dinsdale (Worcester, Mass.) all had two hits for the Bulldogs.
The 17th win this season for the New Jersey City University (17-11) is its most lopsided one to date. NJCU pounded out 20 hits, led by sophomore left fielder Bill Feehan, sophomore right fielder Juan Pena and junior third baseman Matt Corsi, and junior right-handed pitcher Nate Facey threw 7.0 innings of a combined two-hit shutout as the Gothic Knights rolled past St. Joseph’s College-Brooklyn (3-24) by a 16-0 final on April 18 at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex. Facey (3-1) had the best game of his career, striking out eight in 7.0 innings while scattering just two hits and five walks before two others threw an inning each for NJCU. NJCU scored twice in the first and third innings, added three in the fourth, then piled up six runs in the fifth when the Knights batted around and sent 11 to the plate. NJCU punctuated its win with two runs in the sixth inning and another in the seventh. Feehan was 2-for-3 and accounted for the first four runs of the game for NJCU, including a two-run homer in the third—his first homer of the season. He finished with four RBIs. Pena batted 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored and Corsi knocked in three RBIs in a 3-for-6 day.
