La PLUME, Pa.—Junior Chris Panzarella, sophomore Adam Kelly, and senior Eric Drzewiecki combined for 10 hits and 13 RBIs to lead Keystone College to a 21-3 victory over Clarks Summit University in the first of a two-game Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) series Wednesday afternoon at Christy Mathewson Field.

Panzarella finished with four hits, including two doubles, and four RBIs, Kelly had three hits, including a home run, and five RBIs, and Drzewiecki contributed three hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs as the Giants won their fourth straight game to improve to 19-7 overall and 7-0 in the CSAC.  Overall, Keystone belted out a season-high 23 hits.

Sophomores Kegan Laman and Andreas Bailey each had a hit and drove in a run for the Defenders, now 0-18 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

Junior Mohammed Hussein, the Giants' leading hitter with a .443 batting average, used his arm instead of his bat today to play a key role in Keystone's win.  He made his third pitching appearance, second start, and limited Clarks Summit to one hit and no earned runs in five innings to improve to 2-0 on the season.  He threw 63 pitches, 42 for strikes, on his way to a five-strikeout performance.

Four relievers—seniors Emilio Gonzalez-DeOlio and Joe DeAngelis, Drezwiecki, and senior Bray Curreri—combined to hold the Defenders to just three hits the rest of the way.

Keystone, which will host the Defenders again tomorrow at 3:00 p.m., also received two hits apiece from sophomore Alejandro Monteverde, Curreri, junior Ronald Medina and sophomore Nick Carlini.

The Giants took a 3-0 lead in the first inning on Kelly's 3-run shot to left center field and Drzewiecki followed two innings later with a two-run blast.  Keystone broke it open an inning later when Panzarella hit a two-run double to the gap in right center field as the Giants jumped out to a 9-0 lead.
