Puget Sound scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to break a 2-2 tie en route to a 5-2 win over Pacific on Sunday. Puget Sound (17-23) had eight hits but took advantage of eight walks in the win. Two of the walks came with the bases loaded in the eighth in the win. Ryan Moyes had two of the eight hits to lead the Loggers. Three Loggers pitchers combined to strike out 10 batters, holding the Boxers to seven hits in the win. Dakota Marley pitched the final 1.1 for the win to improve to 3-0.

Instead of playing back-to-back doubleheaders at Cazenovia and Wells this weekend, the weather in New York forced changes to the schedule and Lancaster Bible made a quick trip to Aurora, N.Y. on Sunday to take on Wells, before heading home to face Cazenovia on Monday. The Chargers, needing conference wins to help their playoff resume, completed the first leg of the odd Sunday-Monday setup, by defeating Wells twice, 4-3 in game one, and 10-4 in game two.

All nine starters recorded a hit in game one and three St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) Bears picked up multi-hit games in the second contest as the St. Joseph's swept Mount Saint Vincent in their Skyline and season finale on Sunday afternoon. SJC finished their first year under coach Blumenauer at 7-28 overall and 5-13 in conference play, good for eighth place in the Skyline.

Senior Quinn DiPasquale spun a one-hit, complete-game shutout, freshman catcher Nathan Zuckerman drove in two, as Stevens defeated Utica College 8-0 Sunday afternoon to win the Empire 8 Conference regular season title. All nine starters reached base at least once and junior shortstop Matthew Pasko and senior designated hitter Tommy Baronner each had two hits for the Ducks, who moved to 23-14 on the year and 14-3 in conference play. Stevens has won four straight to win its first-ever E8 regular season crown.

Every Elizabethtown batter had at least one hit as the Blue Jays outlasted Juniata 11-7 to sweep their three-game weekend set and clinch a spot in the upcoming Landmark Championship tournament. The defending champion Blue Jays can still claim the tournament's top seed with a sweep at Drew to finish the regular season next weekend. Mike Christy and Anthony Kantner paced the Blue Jay offense with three hits each. Eight different players finished with an RBI.

Saint John's (Minn.) cracked 23 hits, including eight doubles, in a 24-4 non-conference win over St. Scholastica on Sunday in Duluth. SJU (24-5, 9-3 MIAC) erased a 2-0 deficit with five runs in the top of the second inning and, after CSS (17-7, 11-1 UMAC) cut into the Johnnies' lead with a single run in the third, scored 19 consecutive runs until the bottom of the ninth. The visitors scored six runs in the fifth inning and eight in the ninth. The Saints' lead was their first against SJU since 2004, a span of 27 innings. Sophomore right-fielder Wyatt Ulrich became the 29th Johnnie in school history to reach 100 career hits with a two-run double, his second of the game, in the ninth inning. He ended the afternoon 3-for-6 with the two doubles, four runs scored and a career-high five RBI.

Alma captured their second MIAA series of the season, splitting with Kalamazoo on Sunday at Woodworth Field. The Scots (20-16 overall, 13-11 MIAA) captured three of four games against the Hornets over the weekend to move into a tie for second place in the league with Kalamazoo and Calvin College. Alma will face Calvin on Friday and Saturday, May 4-5, in the final series of the season with the right to host a first-round MIAA Tournament game on the line. The Scots, Knights, Hope College and Trine are all in the hunt for the remaining three spots in the tournament field.

Penn State Behrend picked up an AMCC sweep over Mt. Aloysius, winning 10-3 and 11-4. The Lions (21-14, 12-6 AMCC) exploded for 27 hits over the course of the day while holding the Mounties (9-24, 6-9 AMCC) to just over 10 over the two games. Jack Herzing threw a gem on the mound in game one. The senior pitched a complete game two-hitter while striking out 14. In game two, the Lions recorded six runs in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach.

After leaning on its pitching to earn a Centennial Conference playoff berth, Muhlenberg turned to its bats for its final league game of the season. The Mules (19-17, 11-7) rapped out a season-high 16 hits, including home runs by juniors Jon Capra and Chris Grillo, to defeat Ursinus and clinch the third seed in the CC playoffs. Muhlenberg will open play at second-seeded Johns Hopkins on Thursday before heading to top-seeded Swarthmore for the remainder of the tournament on Saturday. The 11 conference wins tie a school record achieved four times previously, twice in the MAC South (1973 and 1979) and twice in the CC (2002 and 2008). Capra went 4-for-5 with a career-high four RBI and was one of six Muhlenberg players with multiple hits. Sophomore John Serruto drove in three runs and went 2-for-3 to finish as the team's leading hitter in CC games with a .359 average.

Manhattanville split a Senior Day MAC Freedom doubleheader with Delaware Valley on Sunday, taking Game 1 6-1 behind a dominant performance from senior Billy Tempone before dropping Game 2 5-0, missing out on an opportunity to clinch a seventh straight MAC Freedom Tournament berth. Needing a sweep to clinch the fourth and final spot in the conference tournament, Manhattanville now needs Delaware Valley to beat King's (Pa.) tomorrow or the Monarchs will be the #4 seed. The Valiants wrap up the 2018 regular season on Wednesday against Eastern Connecticut State.

Suffolk took Endicott, 7-4, in non-conference action on Senior Day at North Field. Charles Batchelder earned the win (6-2) on 8 2/3 innings pitched, six hits, four runs (all earned), one walk and a game-high eight strikeouts. Batchelder was lifted in the ninth after throwing 135 pitches (90 strikes) for Tyler Zell who recorded his third save of the season. Suffolk trailed 2-0 after the first inning of play but scored two in the sixth, three more in the seventh, and another pair of runs in the eighth for their third win in a row.
