| Scranton and Susquehanna split a Landmark Conference doubleheader in Florida on Friday as the team's opened their conference slates. Tufts exploded for 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning leading to a 17-2 victory over Castleton on Friday at War Memorial Stadium. In the opener of its spring trip, Tufts senior starter R.J. Hall and freshman reliever Aidan Tucker combined to allow just one earned run as Tufts improved to 2-0. The Jumbos have scored 34 runs in their first two games including Monday's 17-15 win over Brandeis. They were led today by freshman DH Peter DeMaria (3 for 5, 3 runs, 3 RBIs), senior CF Casey Santos-Ocampo (2 for 5, 3 runs, 3 RBIs) and sophomore LF Brandon Bay (1 for 2, 3 runs, 3 RBIs). he Spartans, who fell to 5-6, received three hits from junior 1B Davis Mikell.
Top-ranked College of Wooster jumped on ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins starter Preston Betz, and held off a ninth-inning rally by the Blue Jays to win 5-2 at historic Terry Park in Fort Myers, Florida. Friday's game featured a pair of skippers who have won well over 1,000 games at the collegiate level. Pettorini, the active leader in Div. III coaching wins, now has 1,216, while Johns Hopkins' Bob Babb has 1,146 career victories. Wooster now has a four-game series winning streak against Johns Hopkins. Wooster (3-1), benefitted from five Johns Hopkins (9-2) errors.
Lancaster Bible wrapped up its spring break trip in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with a victory as the Chargers defeated Dean, 9-3. Lancaster Bible is now 3-4 overall this season, while the Bulldogs dropped to 1-8. Will Welsh finished a perfect 5-for-5 from the plate, as he drove in three runs, and scored two more. Friday marked the second time in Welsh's career he has collected five hits in a game, as he also accomplished the feat on Apr. 26, 2016 against Clarks Summit.
The University of the Ozarks sweep an ASC doubleheader from Mary Hardin 6-0 and 7-5 (10 innings). Starting pitcher Dalton Spurgeon threw a three-hit complete game to lead the Eagles to a 6-0 shutout win in game one. In the nightcap, Fielder Dufrene brought in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to push the Eagles to a 7-5 win. Rocky Liveoak add an RBI single up the middle to provide an insurance run in the tenth.

Fredonia State improved to 4-0 in the conference with a convincing 19-1 win over New Paltz. Starting pitcher Luke Kuczewski ran his record to 3-0, scattering four hits in a nine-inning complete game. He was aided by an 18-hit attack that included seven extra-base hits. Kuczeski's only blemish came following a hit by pitch and a double in the top of the fourth inning. He gave up hits in the seventh and eight that were both erased by double plays. He surrendered the final hit in the ninth inning. Kuczewski struck out 10 and walked none. Offensively, Kevin Yirinec hit a three-run blast, his fourth of the year, and Kole Brink connected for a two-run shot. Yirinec finished the day with six RBI and three hits, while Brink had three hits to his credit. Billy Clifford added four hits, and Jon Morrison, Dom Monti, and Russ Mistretta added two each. Mistretta ripped a double and a triple while driving in three.
Haverford (5-3) kept the bats hot in a doubleheader sweep of Wisconsin Lutheran (5-4) at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers. The Fords stormed past the Warriors in the first game, 15-3, before returning in the afternoon to fend off a challenge in an 8-4 victory. Haverford scored nearly half their runs in the fifth innings, outscoring the Warriors 11-2 in the fifth of each game of the doubleheader.
Beloit swept SUNY-Poly in a pair of games at the Chain of Lakes Stadium in Winter Haven, Florida. The Bucs topped the Wildcats 16-6 and 5-4 in the two seven-inning contests. The Buccaneers scored in five of the seven innings in the opener including posting multiple runs in three innings. In the nightcap, the Bucs and Wildcats swapped leads several times with Beloit on top after the regulation seven innings.
In an offensive explosion at The Yard, Redlands scored six runs in the first inning to crack open a 17-2 victory over non-conference opponent Ithac. For the game, the Maroon and Gray tallied a season-high 21 hits and 17 RBI. In addition to two home runs, Aaron Singh registered four RBI and scored two runs. Eduardo Martinez-Razo also posted four RBI on two hits, while junior second baseman Andrew Renteria went 2-for-3 for two runs.

Senior Dylan Gaita needed exactly 100 pitches to toss a complete game nine-hitter as Plymouth State coasted past Rockford, 10-1, in a non-conference baseball game at Terry Park. Gaita was in control from the onset, allowing multiple baserunners in just three innings, while the PSU bats continued to stay hot. Senior Geoff Kayo was one of four Panthers with a multi-hit game, and eight of nine starters had base hits while PSU reached double digits for the sixth time in eight games. Plymouth State, which topped Rockford, 11-10, in the opener of the Florida trip last Saturday (Mar. 9), improves to 4-4, while the Regents fall to 3-5.

Freshman righthander Tyler Diefenbach pitched seven strong innings while sophomore Mike Cannavorecorded a six-out save as Montclair State closed out its Florida trip with a 4-1 win over Lawrence in the RussMatt Invitational. Sophomore catcher Andrew Ollwerther had two hits and an RBI as the Red Hawks squared their record at 4-4 and snapped a three-game losing streak.
Senior Devin Warren delivered a two-out single to center field to drive in the winning run as No. 12 Southern Maine came from behind in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat the Amherst Mammoths 6-5 in a non-conference game. The game opened the Huskies' seven-game Florida swing. Southern Maine's second walk-off win of the season lifts its overall record to 2-1. Amherst had its four-game winning streak snapped by the loss and falls to 4-2 overall. Down 5-4 heading into their final turn at bat, the Huskies used three hits and a walk to push two runs across for the win.
Wisconsin-Platteville delivered a 7-2 home defeat to No. 6 Texas Lutheran in the first game of a non-conference, three-game series. Jonathan Kelso collected three hits and drove in two for the Pioneers, and left-hander Caleb Kaufmann (1-1) pitched five innings of two-hit baseball. Kaufmann took a no-hitter into the fifth. The Pioneers improved to 2-4 overall. TLU dropped to 10-5.
Zack Durant allowed one run over seven innings and four Cortland players recorded multiple-hit games as the nationally 16th-ranked Red Dragons defeated Marietta, 8-2, during the first day of the Berry College Tournament. Cortland (7-4-1) will face Adrian during the second day of the three-day event. Marietta dropped to 4-5 with the loss, with four of its five setbacks this spring coming versus ranked opponents. The Pioneers will play Berry Saturday. Durant improved to 2-2 on the season after giving up just five hits and two walks and striking out two batters. Dan Hobbs allowed a run over the final two innings in a non-save situation. Brian Corporan finished 4-for-5 with two RBI, Colin BeVard went 3-for-4 with a triple, double, walk and two RBI, Dan Schweitzer was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and Wyatt Myers finished 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI to account for 12 of Cortland's 14 hits.

Senior left-handed-pitcher Jack Raines led Baldwin Wallace to an 11-9 victory over Oberlin on Fisher Field. BW (5-5) plated 11 runs off 10 hits with one run coming in the first and third, three runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh to secure its fifth victory on the season. The Yellow Jackets offense was led by senior designated hitter Philip Wells, as he tallied two hits and three runs-batted-in. Senior second baseman Kyle Pennington scored three runs and knocked in two runs with his two hits. Senior two-time Academic All-OAC right fielder Reese Albright had two hits and two RBI's while senior catcher Asa Adams scored two runs off his two hits.
Benedictine began a difficult nine-game residency in Florida for spring break with a split of contests against teams from the St. Louis area. Benedictine defeated Greenville 10-3 and fell to No. 15 Webster 4-3. Stephen Sewruk spun a quality start in game one, allowing just two earned runs in six innings to notch his first collegiate win. He did not walk a batter and struck out four. In game two, Benedictine grabbed an early lead but could hold it. Benedictine placed the tying run on base four times but could not even the contest.
Bethel grinded out a pair of wins over Edgewood at Terry Park. Behind the strong arm of Connor Malcolm the Royals took game one 6-0 before a late rally comeback captured the nightcap 3-2. Bethel is off to a 3-1 start for the eighth consecutive season and continues its 12-game Spring Break trip tomorrow against Plymouth State. Junior catcher Mitch Butvilas led the offense going 3-for-8 on the day. As the number three hitter in the lineup, Butvilas drove in four of the Royals nine combined runs. Senior outfielder Sam Horner was 3-for-5 with three walks and two runs. Freshman Marcus Krupke was 2-for-6 at the plate with two RBIs and a pair of walks.
Senior Peyton Renning singled home a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth inning which capped an exciting 11-10 comeback victory for Buena Vista against Lourdes. Lourdes jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning only to see BVU respond right back with six of its own in the bottom half. The Gray Wolves went back up 10-6 with two runs in the third and two more in the fifth. The Beavers slowly chipped away at that lead as Coleman Roberts drove home a run in the sixth, Nick Henrichs had an RBI in the seventh before Renning drove home one run in the eight and the game-winning runs in the ninth.
