Nichols celebrated their 2020 Seniors with a 9-2 victory over Keene State in non-conference action Monday afternoon at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale, Florida.

Nichols (8-2) sent senior Jacob Barresi to the mound for the start, in what would be the team's final game of the season against Keene State (1-9). Barresi pitched 2.2 innings, striking out three and giving up just one earned run before senior Jack Dicenso came in for relief in the third inning. The Bison put up a four spot in the fourth inning to jump out to an early 4-1 lead. Sophomore and reigning CCC Player of the Week doubled in two runs in the fourth with a line drive up the middle, for his team leading 22nd hit of the season.

Senior Ryan Nesbit singled in two more runs in the fifth inning with a hit that just beat the Owls first baseman, scoring junior Nathaniel Cormier and freshman Will Kleinhenz. Dicenso went on to pitch 5.1 innings in relief, striking out eight batters along the way while only giving up three hits and one earned run. Senior Christian Naccari added two hits and two runs scored in the game while classmate Kyle Bouchard picked up one hit in the win. Rounding out the senior send-off was Brodie Altiere who came in to close out the game in the ninth inning, setting the Owls down in four, while recording one strikeout.

The Bison wrap up their 2020 Spring Trip with a perfect 4-0 record (7-0 including JV), to finish the shortened season with a record of 8-2. The Bison recorded 10+ hits in seven of their 10 games played this season, ending the season with .310 combined team batting average. Caron finishes his season with a scorching hot batting average of .478, and an OPS of 1.174 while picking up 22 hits in 46 at bats.
