Light schedule on Sunday as teams play out their spring trip

 
Sophomore Mike Nee had five hits in the first game and
junior Tommy Bianchi delivered three in game two as
Clarkson split two games on Sunday, beating Keuka 16-6
and falling 11-6 to Nichols at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex.
The Golden Knights will play three nine-inning games for the
remainder of their Florida schedule, taking on Keuka on
Monday and then playing Keene State back-to-back days
before returning to New York.

No. 20 Webster closed out its seven-game Spring Break trip to Florida here Sunday as the Gorloks posted a 3-1 win over Keene State at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex to complete play in the 2020 RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. With the win, the Gorloks improve to 8-5 on the season and completed its Florida trip with a 5-2 record, while Keene State falls to 1-8 on the season.

Sunday's game could have be the final game of the 2020 baseball season for the Gorloks as the NCAA has already canceled all of its postseason championship events for both the winter and spring seasons and most of Webster's upcoming opponents have put a pause on their season due to the fallout from the rapid spread nationwide of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. As of now, Webster University has not yet cancelled any of its spring sports seasons, but the situation is constantly being monitored and could change rapidly in the next few days. As for Sunday's game, the Gorloks offense was able to produce six hits, but got outstanding pitching from junior hurler Sean Beaver and three relievers as they held the Owls to just seven hits, but one run and recorded a total of 10 strikeouts, including a season high tying eight from Beaver, who lowered his season ERA from 0.57 to 0.44 with his five inning performance on Sunday.

Susquehanna defeats No. 15 Marietta 11-2 on Sunday

Alfred State wrapped up their spring break trip and their 2020 season by splitting a doubleheader vs. Wooster at the Gene Cusic Classic in Ft. Myers, FL. The Pioneers took the opener 7-4 but fell 15-2 in the nightcap. Andrew Santobuono improved to 3-1 on the year with a complete game effort. He allowed six hits and two earned runs while walking one and striking out six. Jack Henby finished 2 for 3 with a RBI while Matteo Avallone was 2 for 4 with a RBI. Wooster jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the nightcap with a run on a sac fly by Dan Harwood in the 1st inning. Avallone gave the Pioneers their only lead of the game in the 3rd when he collected a two-run single to score Henby and Pingitore. The Fighting Scots took over from there and scored five in the bottom of the 3rd and never let the Pioneers back in the game. They five more in the 4th and two runs in both the 5th and 6th.
