Marietta College scored early and often in a 26-3 win at Wilmington College Monday afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference action. The Pioneers improve to 10-1 on the season and 10-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Wilmington falls to 1-10 overall and 0-7 in the OAC. The Etta Express scored runs in each of the first five innings to build a 17-0 lead. Marietta finished with 22 hits in the game and a season-high 26 runs. 14 different Pioneers had a base hit in the game.

A cool sunny day greeted Wilkes as they hosted Stevens for a doubleheader matchup. They played their Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom foe at Bruggeworth Field Friday afternoon. Senior Tony Molitoris pitched a complete game shutout in game one to give the Colonels (3-9) a 6-0 victory against the Ducks (10-4), before a late comeback effort fell short in an 8-5 loss in the afternoon tilt. A deep opening double put the Ducks in scoring position in the top of the sixth. A walk put two on with no out, but a pair of pop outs followed by a beautiful sliding catch by senior Matt Reinert near the center outfield fence kept the shutout going. Molitoris completed the complete game shutout to take a victory in the seven-inning game.
Grove City pounded out 25 total runs and 34 hits Monday afternoon in sweeping a doubleheader at Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Saint Vincent. The Wolverines won the opener, 11-6, then rolled to a 14-2, five-inning win in Game Two. In the opener, the only game that counts in the PAC standings, Grove City broke a 3-3 tie by scoring eight runs over the final three innings. Senior DH Tanner Orner put Grove City (7-5, 5-4 PAC) ahead to stay by belting a two-run double in the seventh. Orner's double scored senior second baseman Bobby Abbott and senior first baseman Bubba Hamilton. A seven-run fourth inning and four more runs in the fifth inning put Grove City in command of Game Two. Hamilton doubled as part of a 3-for-4 outing while Saylor also went 3 for 4. Orner and Tambellini both doubled and singled while Abbott went 2 for 3. Baccari and Clary both scored twice.
Adrian combined for 31 hits and 28 runs to take both ends of a conference doubleheader of visiting Trine at Nicolay Field on Monday, 7-1 and 21-9, completing a sweep of the season-opening MIAA our-game series. The Bulldogs extend their winning streak to a season-high five games to move to 10-5 overall and 4-0 in the MIAA, while the Thunder fall to 0-13 and 0-4 in the conference. Junior Kyle Goldberg earned his first career win, limiting the Thunder to an earned run and four hits over five innings. Classmate Maxwell Denny finished the game with two scoreless innings. In the nightcap, Adrian erupted for 13 runs in the fifth to turn a 7-4 deficit to a commanding 17-7 advantage.
First-year 1B Seth Meth went 5-for-8 at the plate with two doubles, three runs, and three RBIs to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a doubleheader sweep, 5-3 and 15-8, against the visiting Lasell University Lasers afternoon on Murren Family Field at DiBenedetto Stadium. Trinity sophomore RHP Alex Chang allowed just one hit and struck out four over 3.1 innings of relief to collect his first career win in the opener. The Bantams pounded out 18 hits in the second game, scoring twice in the first, 10 times, in the second, twice in the third, and once in the fourth inning. Meth and sophomore 2B Andrew Tuozzolo had three hits apiece, while Vince Capone doubled and tripled.
SUNY Old Westbury secured a 5-0 Skyline Conference victory over the visiting St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Golden Eagles (2-4, 2-4 Skyline) on Monday afternoon. Panther starter Patrick Quinn was stellar on the mound in his 2021 debut as he shut down the Golden Eagles by firing eight strikeouts. In the top of the fifth inning, he found himself in a bases loaded jam but Quinn made Mike Badala ground into a fielder's choice at second base to keep the shutout intact. Old Westbury would break the game open as they registered a trio of runs in the home half of the eighth inning.
Merchant Marine won on Monday night in the series-finale against Skyline opponent St. Joseph's-Brooklyn by the final score of 13-5. The win improves the Mariners' record to 3-0 (3-0 Skyline), while the Bears fall to 0-9 (0-6 Skyline) in defeat. The Mariners jumped out to an early lead in the first inning with four runs on as many hits. SJC quickly answered with three in the next half-inning. USMMA scored their fifth run in the fourth on a single by Brayden O'Connell before plating five runs in the third to take the 10-3 advantage. The Bears cut the deficit in half in the sixth with two more runs, but the hosts brought in a pair of runs on a triple by freshman Tommy Payton in their end of the stanza, going up 13-5 in the seventh to cap off the scoring in the game to complete the series sweep of the Bears

Wartburg College won both games during its Monday, March 29 American Rivers Conference doubleheader versus Central College, defeating the Dutch by scores of 15-7 and 11-1 to take the series victory. Wartburg outscored the Dutch 26-8 and totaled 26 hits and 24 runs batted in through two games. Four Knights notched at least four base hits, while Ethan Hayes batted in eight runs. The Knights' pitching staff held Central to seven earned runs with 15 strikeouts.
Farmingdale State improved to 6-0 in Skyline Conference play with a 4-3 game one win at Purchase this afternoon. The Rams dropped the non-conference game, 8-3, to the Panthers (5-7, 2-7 Skyline) in their second contest of the day. Jordan Lambert tossed 4.1 innings on the mound in the opener and recorded a hit and two RBI's at the plate, while Chris Driscoll had a double, walk and two runs batted in. Aiden Hutchins went 2-for-4 with a double and run scored in the win. In game two, Bobby Pollock finished 2-for-4 with an RBI, while freshman first baseman Joseph Tardino had a hit, a walk and one run scored in the loss.
Emory University split a doubleheader on the road at Maryville College Monday afternoon. The Eagles took care of business in the first game, winning 9-2, before losing a lead late in game two to fall by a count of 3-2. Jack Brodsky and Joey Bock teamed up to limit the Scots to just two runs over nine frames while the Emory offense racked up nine runs on 12 hits. The Scots rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth to erase a 2-0 deficit and earn the doubleheader split in a seven-inning affair.
Matthew Enck's RBI single with two outs in the home half of the ninth inning lifted St. Thomas to a 2-1 win over Northwestern-St. Paul in Monday's non-conference game at Koch Diamond, the first in 99 weeks, dating back to May 6, 2019. Five Tommie pitchers, all righthanders, combined on a five-hitter with 15 strikeouts. But the Purple pitchers, including four making their season debut, had to work out of several jams. The Eagles (7-7) left 10 on base as they capitalized on six walks and a hit batter.
Saint Mary's University scored 20 runs in its nonconference doubleheader against Crown on Monday — including at least one run in 11 of the 13 innings. Saint Mary's scored in every inning in the opener, rolling to a 10-4 victory. And in the nightcap, the Cardinals put together a second straight 10-run performance, only to have Crown — propelled by a seven-run second inning — hold off a wild SMU comeback attempt to earn the split with a 12-10 victory.
