DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – Director of Athletics Dave Duda and the Delaware Valley University athletic department announced on Tuesday that Kyle Lindsay will be the first full-time head baseball coach in program history after a national search.

Lindsay joins DelVal after a two-year stint as assistant baseball coach at conference foe Arcadia University.

"I am honored to have been named the full-time head coach at DelVal," Lindsay said. "I am extremely grateful that the hiring committee had the faith in me to take over a program that has the potential to achieve great things in the MAC Freedom. I would like to thank Dave Duda for providing me the opportunity to achieve my goal of being a head coach at the collegiate level. I am looking forward to getting on campus and having the opportunity to work alongside the current members of the athletic department as well as a variety of different departments on campus."

Lindsay will look to translate the success he had in the MAC Freedom as a student-athlete, where he shined as a four-time all-league player for the Misericordia Cougars, to his coaching career with the Aggies.

A right-handed hitting infielder, Lindsay helped the Cougars to four conference championship titles while racking up individual accolades along the way that include two all-region selections, D3Baseball.com All-American, a MAC All-Academic selection, multiple academic honor rolls, and program records in career hits (243), runs scored (189), games played (187, and at-bats (685). He also ranked second all-time in career doubles (52), third in total bases (318), and fourth in RBI (133).

Upon graduation, the Sewell, New Jersey native joined Pete Egbert's staff at Misericordia as a graduate assistant where he spent three seasons and coached two All-Americans, two MAC Freedom Pitchers of the Year, one MAC Freedom Player of the Year and 21 All-MAC Freedom selections while leading the recruiting efforts.

In his first season with the Knights, the team went 5-7. This past year, they finished 21-12 overall and 19-9 in conference play to advance to the MAC Freedom playoffs where they defeated Wilkes in the first round.

"Kyle comes from great baseball stock, having been a part of two outstanding programs within the MAC Freedom," said Duda. "He has great vision for the future of our baseball program and we all look forward to supporting him in pursuit of lofty goals at Delaware Valley."

The Aggies finished the 2021 campaign 3-27 overall and 3-25 in conference games and senior Timmy Lallis earned a first-team all-MAC Freedom selection. In 2019, the last full regular-season slate, they went 13-25 and 7-14.

"I know that we have a solid core of returning players for the upcoming year who are hungry to make a name for themselves and a talented incoming freshman class who will look to make an impact for us right away," Lindsay concluded. "This group has a bright future ahead of them and I cannot wait to get to work with them once we return to campus. I am eager to get out on the road and start identifying potential student-athletes in the 2022 class and building toward a bright future at the helm of the Aggies."
