Lakeland University scored five runs in the first two innings and stayed in control the rest of the way for another win, defeating Penn State-Altoona 11-3 Thursday morning at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational.

Saint John's (Minn.) split against a pair of Ohio schools on Thursday at Centennial Park in Port Charlotte, Fla.The Johnnies (5-6 overall) scored 18 runs after the fourth inning, including a nine-run seventh, to defeat No. 2 Marietta 20-8 in the day's first game. SJU jumped out to a 5-0 lead against Heidelberg, but the Student Princes totaled 22 hits in the game and scored three runs in the top of the 13th inning to hand SJU a 12-9 defeat. The extra-inning loss is SJU's third this season (the other three defeats were by one run each). SJU set a program record for total bases in a game with 44 and tied a single-game record with six home runs in the win over Marietta. The 23 hits are tied for the fourth-most in school history. The Johnnies batted .353 (36-102) with 10 home runs on the day, though the opposition batted .404 (36-for-89).

Tommy Snyder and Noah Ferguson struck out 10 and Cole Trotignon drove in three runs as Pacific Lutheran University opened its tour of the Golden State by unseating 20th-ranked California Lutheran University 4-2 on Thursday at Ullman Stadium. Snyder, the reigning Northwest Conference Pitcher of the Week, continued to impress, securing the win on the hill after dealing 7 2/3 innings and striking out seven. Ferguson took the baton midway through the eighth and sealed the game, facing just five batters and recording four outs, including three via strikeout to collect the save.

York College closed out their spring trip with a flourish as they scored 11 unanswered runs to post a 12-6 come-from-behind win over #21 Kean University on Thursday in Myrtle Beach. The Spartans, after having snapped a four-game losing skid on Wednesday, have now won three straight as the offense has started to click. York has reached double figures in runs in each of its last three games. The Spartans banged out a season-high 16 hits in the win, and tied a season-high with six doubles while they blasted a season-high four home runs including two from senior Joe Capobianco and the first collegiate home runs from Andrew Santarpia and Brian Jakubek. The win snaps a three-game losing streak to the Cougars as York is now 5-6 all time against Kean.

The Eastern Mennonite Royals made their way back into the win column on Thursday, taking a decisive 8-3 win over future ODAC foe, Averett, in midweek action. Accounting nine total runs on 12 hits, and a strong start by first-year Alec Riles, EMU grabs momentum heading into a key ODAC doubleheader. Riles threw 7.0 innings, only allowing three hits and one earned run. The first-year collected five strikeouts on just two walks. Jordon Jones knocked two hits, scored three times, and stealing two bags.

Nathan Hinkley tossed a complete game and had plenty of run support in Keystone's convincing 11-1 win over Marymount University on Thursday afternoon in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Hinkley threw all seven frames for his second win of the season, scattering four hits while striking out a pair. The righty forced 11 flyouts and eight groundouts. Hinkley enjoyed run support from the opening inning as the Keystone bats were alive, scoring in every inning except the sixth. The Giants plated two runs in the first, third, and fifth frames with three tallied in the second. Keystone finished with 10 hits on the day.

Endicott edged Bates, 4-3, in non-conference action on Thursday night at North Field. Tied 3-3 with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, freshman second baseman Robbie Wladkowski grooved a middle-in fastball off the rocks in deep left field to push the Gulls ahead 4-3. Tarlin wrapped up the contest from there working around a one-out single via a swinging strikeout and a fielder's choice groundout (6-4). Endicott trailed 2-0 after one half inning, but Jake Nardone did the heavy lifting offensively with a solo homer in the fourth and a two-run double in the seventh (3-2 lead).

Trine University won their second consecutive game on Thursday 7-5 over Fontbonne University. The Thunder (4-5) took advantage of six Griffin (3-7) errors and scratched out eight hits in the victory. Cam Nagel picked up the win in his first decision of the season while Noah Brettin is 2-for-2 in save opportunities in 2022. Brenden Warner's three hits paced the Trine offense, highlighted by a couple of doubles and an RBI.

Alex Vallee allowed just two hits in five innings, four relievers threw four scoreless innings and the RPI offense scored nine runs on 11 hits in defeating Keene State College 9-1 in a non-league game. The win is the fourth in a row for the Engineers (4-1), while the Owls drop to 0-4. Vallee, a sophomore making his first collegiate start, gave up just two hits and an unearned run with five strikeouts to earn the win. He walked two. Brendan Bucceri, Rylan Wade, Colby August and Sam Stone each worked an inning, combining on three strikeouts with only three hits allowed and no walks. It was the season debut for all four hurlers. Offensively, Martin Marintchev, Aidan Hicks and George Ranier each had two hits to lead the attack. Hicks also had two runs and a run batted in, while Ranier scored once and knocked in three.

Aaron Boster had the best outing a Wilmington College starting pitcher has had all season on Thursday as the sophomore struckout nine in eight innings in an 11-4 Fightin' Quakers win over Franklin College. Boster earned his first win of the year in a 145-pitch outing, scattering five hits and five walks with nine strikeouts and a single run in eight innings of work. Matthew Johnson, Franklin's starter, took the loss allowing four earned runs on four hits in one inning pitched. Offensively, Evan Kelsey continued his torrid hitting pace, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Bridgewater State University wrapped up its trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a doubleheader sweep of Penn State Berks on Thursday at the Ripken Experience Complex. The Bears (5-3) won the opener in extra innings, 1-0, and completed the sweep with a 10-1 victory in game two. In the opener, neither team scored over the first 8 ½ innings of the contest. In the bottom of the ninth, the Bears rallied, loading the bases with out out. Sophomore centerfielder Shane Foley smacked a base hit through the left side to plate Suraci with the game-winning run. Junior righthander Matthew Seavey picked up his first win in a BSU uniform as he tossed six shutout innings to lead the Bears to a 1-0 victory in game two and a sweep of the twinbill. Seavey (1-1) gave up just two hits, walked two and struck out six. He retired the first 11 batters he faced before giving up a walk with two outs in the fourth. Bridgewater banged out 13 hits in the contest, including four for extra bases. The Bears also stole four more bases and finished the eight-game trip with 27 thefts.

Brevard College (10-5) scored nine unanswered runs and shut out Case Western Reserve University (3-5) over the final five innings to complete a 10-5 comeback victory against the Spartans on Thursday at Gil Coan Field. The Tornados posted a run each in the fourth and fifth innings before scoring three in the bottom of the sixth to take a 6-5 advantage. Brevard then broke things open in the bottom of the eighth inning, scoring four insurance runs to help wrap up the five-run victory. Logan Clark went 2-for-4 with two runs, including a three-RBI triple to help seal the win for the Tornados. The three-bagger marked the eighth of the sophomore's career to make Clark the school's career triples leader in the NCAA era. Clark was also a force on the base paths for Brevard, stealing a career-high three bases in the win.

The bats came out today as Catholic University hit its way to a third straight victory at the Ripken Experience. The Cardinals plated nine runs in the first three innings and never looked back, knocking off Penn College, 14-6, on Thursday afternoon. Catholic (7-5) picked up where it left off yesterday—hitting home runs. Freshman Dante Pozzi wasted no time, leading off by taking the fourth pitch of the game over the left field fench. Junior Zach Burton walked before junior Ben Nardi blasted his first home run of the season to extend the Cardinal lead to 3-0 before Penn College (6-4) could register an out. Graduate Student Tighe Watson then stole home, one of Watson's game-high three steals. Catholic, as a team, stole a season-high 11 bases.

Loras College (9-0) picked up their ninth win of the season after opening play in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational with a pair of wins over Penn State-Abington (5-4) and Anna Maria College (4-3). Freshman pitcher Danny Hiemer paved the path to victory, leading the Duhawks on the mound with 6.3 innings pitched between the two games, tallying five strikeouts against Anna Maria for his third win of the season. At the plate in game one, the Duhawks were led by Max Cullen, who went 2-for-5 with two RBIs while Chris Costantino and Dakota Church both went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs apiece. In the nightcap, Cullen continued to produce with a 3-for-5 showing at the plate with a double and an RBI in the game.

Sophomore Hunter Cole went 4 for 6 with a double, a homer, three runs and three RBI as  Randolph-Macon defeated Christopher Newport 9-5 on Thursday afternoon. Cole went 4 for 6 with a double, a homer, three runs and three RBI. Myles Webb had two hits, including a double, one run and two RBI. Senior Jacob Smither earned the win in relief, going 3.0 innings with three hits, one run, three walks and two strikeouts to raise his record to 3-0. Sophomore Wyatt Stanley recorded the final five outs with one hit, one walk and one punchout to record his third save.

Anthony Bencardino hit a grand slam in the first inning and it propelled Penn State Abington to a 7-1 victory over Russell Sage on the team's Spring Break trip to Florida. In the bottom of the first, singles by Chase Swain and Ryan McCarty as well as walk to Tim Petrucelli loaded the bases for Bencardino. The freshman smashed his third home run of the season and it upped his RBI total to 12 while giving the team a 4-0 lead. They added one more in the inning
Russell Sage made it 5-1 before Penn State Abington tacked on two more in the bottom of fifth on a sacrifice fly by Christian Reyes and a single by Louis Rossner. The game was called after the inning due to rain. Darrien Mogel pitched four innings and did not allow an earned run, en route to the win. He struck out three along the way. Bencardino was 1-for-2 while Rossner was 2-for-3. Jaden Himmelreich scored two runs in the win.

Pitt-Bradford moved to 3-1 on their Spring Break trip as they defeated Alvernia 6-2 on Thursday. Pitt-Bradford went down in order in the 8th, sending Reliever Braydon Hageter back to the mound for the 9th inning with a 4 run lead. Hageter walked the leadoff batter but induced a 5-4-3 double play to erase the runner and get the Golden Wolves down to their final out. He then closed the game with a final fly-out to right field. Reid Tarnowski (1-1) earned the win for the Panthers. He allowed just 2 unearned runs on 7 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings pitched. He struck out 6 batters.

Ohio Northern scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 6-2 lead, then held on for a 6-5 victory over Concordia-Chicago at Lake Myrtle Field #1. The Polar Bears improve to 1-4, while the Cougars fall to 3-5. Northern broke a 2-2 tie with four runs in the home half of the eighth, using three walks and two base hits. The Cougars scored three times and had the bases loaded with only one out in the top of the ninth, but freshman Blake Peterson got a strikeout and a ground out the slam the door on ONU's first victory of the season to pick up his first collegiate save.

Rochester was clicking in all phases of the game on Thursday, leading to a doubleheader sweep of Ursinus College at the Ripken Experience. The Yellowjackets won the opener 7-0 in a tidy 90 minutes, and completed the sweep with a 9-1 victory in game two. Rochester's wins move the Yellowjackets to 8-1 on the year, with UR winning six straight games so far this week. Ursinus falls to 5-5 on the young season. The Yellowjackets got two terrific pitching performances on the day, with starters Trevor Van Allen and Dillon Bevan each tossing complete games. Van Allen's day featured his first career shutout, coming just five days after his first collegiate complete game. On Thursday, the senior righty allowed just five hits while striking out a career-best nine hitters. Bevan, meanwhile, logged his first complete game in his win, scattering seven hits and one run while striking out four. He was the beneficiary of a couple key Rochester double plays early in game two. Offensively, senior co-captain Luke Piontek led the way, going a perfect 6-for-6 across the two games. In the opener, he was 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI. Game two featured another 3-for-3 performance with 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.

Clark University (3-1) recorded its third consecutive win when they topped Clarks Summit (0-6) by a 15-3 margin on Thursday afternoon from Polo Grounds Field. The Cougars scored their final six runs of the game in the bottom of the seventh inning starting with a Matthew Kalinak hit by pitch, a three RBI triple to right field from Anthony LoCasto, a Carter Doran RBI single up the middle, and an RBI from junior Randall Safron as Clark came away with a 15-3 win over Clarks Summit.

Wilkes University split a doubleheader on Thursday against Marywood University. The Colonels won game one 4-3 to move to 8-0 before falling for the first time this season 11-5 in game two. Wilkes now stands at 8-1 on the 2022 season. The 8-0 start was the best for Wilkes in the live stats era dating back to at least 2009. Marywood is now 5-3 overall after the split. JT Hibschman (2-0) earned the win as he went 5.0 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits with four walks and four strikeouts. Nick Pronti went 2-for-3 with two RBI's while Michael Patrizio was 1-for-1 with an RBI, two runs, and two walks. In game two, Marywood poured it on in the fifth inning, scoring five runs to take an 8-4 lead. Wilkes got a run back in the top of the sixth but Marywood added three more runs in the bottom of the frame to take an 11-5 lead into the seventh where the Colonels were retired in order.
