Gonzalez left the yard for a silencing grand slam as Piedmont claimed a 5-0 lead in the second inning. LaGrange was able to tack on a run in the fourth, but the Lions were back in business of adding runs on the scoreboard. In the eighth, a 2-RBI single for the Panthers cut the deficit to 8-3, but LaGrange was not giving up without a fight. Piedmont faced eight batters in the ninth inning allowing two runs on one hit, but Carter Ballstadt was able to record the final out and seal the Lions' victory.

With the win, the Hawks improve to 19-3-1 on the season, and have claimed each of their last three matchups against the Owls.

Westfield's Sean Casey (W, 2-0) got the win in relief as the Owls got good length out of the pen from Casey, Joe Fischer and Joe Espinola, who threw a 1-2-3 ninth inning to seal the win.

The Warriors made it a new game in the fourth with two more runs to knot the game at 7-7. Bradley Pelle then led off the fifth and advanced to third on the next at-bat. A David Abbadessa single through the left side would allow the Majors to regain the lead at 8-7. Ryan Erwin kept the momentum rolling with two strikeouts in the Warrior fifth. The offense carried through with three runs in the top of the sixth. The Warriors would continue to threaten but never erase the lead as the Majors claimed an 11-8 victory.

Down to their final outs in the ninth, the Maroons delivered in the clutch. Ripon's bats then warmed up again in the ninth, as Terrell, Ott, and Nick Tenny each drove in a run to take an 8-6 lead in the top of the ninth. The Red Hawks couldn't close things out however, as a two-run single down the left field line sent the game to extra innings, which saw the Buccaneers win the game with a two-run shot in the bottom of the 10th. In the second game of the day, Ripon again jumped on the board first with five runs in the opening inning and added runs for an 11-0 lead. Beloit would get on the board with a run in the third, and three more in the fourth, before Ripon closed the game out with two runs in both the eighth and ninth innings.

Concordia University Chicago earned a road split on Tuesday against the Eagles of Edgewood College. The Cougars stormed back to win game one 13-11 before narrowly falling in game two by a final of 5-3. The Cougars built a 6-4 lead but the Eagles eventually regained control of the lead in the sixth and clung to a 7-6 advantage heading to the eighth. That's when the Cougars exploded for one of their biggest offensive innings of the season to this point to claim a win. Game two was another close battle, but one that was much more low scoring. The eighth inning was the deciding one. After the Cougars left the bases loaded in the top half, Edgewood scored three in the home half to take a 5-2 lead heading into the ninth. Just like the Eagles in game one, the Cougars refused to go quietly in the ninth. A loud fly out to center ended the dreams of a comeback, however, as CUC fell 5-3.
