ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini University baseball team topped the Moravian University Greyhounds 14-7 Tuesday afternoon on the road.
Zack Brook led the Cavs offense with four hits on the day as the senior hit for the cycle Tuesday afternoon. In the third, Brook jacked a three-run homer to left center to put the Cavs up 7-3 after four-straight walks and a Moravian balk. In the fifth, Brady Campbell scored on a double steal followed by an RBI-single from Colton Narciso to extend the Cabrini lead to 9-4.
In the sixth, Ryan Dipper led off the inning with a solo home run followed by a Brook single. Narciso later extended the lead to 11-4 with a sacrifice fly to plate Sean Glatts. In the eighth, Brook led off the inning with a double and later scored on an RBI-groundout from Campbell. An inning later, Brook completed the cycle with an RBI-triple to plate Ben Houghton and give the Cavs a 14-5 lead, eventually holding on for a 14-7 win.
Brook finished the day 4-for-6 with four RBIs and two runs scored while Narciso went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a stolen base.
The Cavaliers return to action on Friday, April 28 as Cabrini returns home to face Marymount University in an Atlantic East Conference bout. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
