Roanoke sweeps Randolph-Macon on Saturday

University of Rochester clinched the Liberty League regular-season title with its doubleheader split against the Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday at the RIT Baseball Complex. The 'Jackets took game one, 5-2, to earn the No. 1-seed in next weekend's Liberty League Crossover series, before falling just short in game two, 7-6. Rochester wraps up the regular season at 25-12 (16-3 LL) with the split, with RIT sits at 17-14 (9-7 LL).

Roanoke swept 10th-ranked Randolph-Macon, 10-6 and 15-2, in an ODAC doubleheader at Roanoke on Saturday afternoon. RC erupted for seven in the second before RMC put up a crooked number in the third but could never gain the lead. Huner Cole gave the Yellow Jackets an early lead with a leadoff homer in the first, his team-leading 11th. The Maroons scored one in the second, nine in the third and five in the fourth before RMC got back on the board in the seventh. It was not enough as the maroons earned a needed sweep.

In the opening round of the SAA tournament, Birmingham Southern swept Oglethorpe with a 5-2 win on Saturday. Millsaps also advanced with a 9-3 win to eliminate Rhodes. Hendrix forced a third game with an 8-5 win but eventually fell to Berry 2-1 to end their season. Centre rebounded from a opening loss to sweep Sewanee, 13-3 and 7-4. Centre advances to the four team double elimination tounament this weekend.

Tufts saw its 13-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday, dropping game one to host Colby 4-3, but rebounded to secure the series win with a 2-1 game two victory in action from Coombs Field. With the split, Tufts moved to 11-1 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference and will play the No. 4 seed on the NESCAC West side next Saturday and Sunday at times to be determined. The Jumbos took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh in the opening game of the day, but the host Mules (21-10) were able to plate a pair of runs including pushing the game-winning run across on an error to secure the victory. The Tufts pitching continued to dominate on Saturday, as Silas Reed and Aidan Tucker combined to allow only five hits through nine innings to earn the victory. The pair struck out 11 on the afternoon, allowing just one earned run.

Wartburg clinched a series win after they fell in game one of today's American Rivers Conference doubleheader against Central 3-2 and then took game two 5-3 on Saturday. The Knights move to 12-18 overall and 7-14 in A-R-C play with three games remainng. Central fell behind by a run and responded with three runs in their next at-bat. Eliot Jurgensen brought home another run in the ninth, but the Knights were unable to overcome the lead and fell 3-2. Game Two also featured a slow offensive start. The Knights struck first with three runs in the third and added two more in the next three innings. Trailing 5-0, in the ninth, Central rallied for three runs but it wasn't enough to overcome the Knights lead.

Clark defeated WPI, 3-2, as the Engineers closed out the 2023 season on Saturday at Holy Cross. The Engineers finish the campaign at 16-22 overall and 6-11 in NEWMAC play. Clark improves to 18-19, 9-8 in the NEWMAC and claims the conference's West Division crown. The Cougars will earn the second seed in next week's NEWMAC Tournament and will await the bracket reveal later this weekend or early next week. Clark reliever Andres Hulfachor was masterful, throwing five scoreless innings in the win to move to 2-2 on the season. He didn't allow a hit and posted seven strikeouts, shutting down the WPI offense. The Engineers' Jack Gomes (Newport, RI) took the loss, throwing two innings, allowing one run, unearned on three hits with two strikeouts. The Cougars' offense was paced by two hits each from Ryan Caulfield, Tyler Jones, and Anthony Keefe.

The top-ranked Johns Hopkins got six, one-hit innings from starter Gabe Romano and the Blue Jays hit six home runs in an 11-0 win over Gettysburg at Babb Field on Saturday. The Blue Jays got solo home runs in each of the first three innings to jump to an early 3-0 lead. Alex Shane (1st inning), Shawn Steuerer (2nd) and Sam Frank (3rd) all went deep in the first three innings to give the Blue Jays a lead that was never challenged. The six home runs for the Blue Jays push their season total 81, which is two shy of the program and Centennial Conference record of 83 (2019). Gabriel Romano went six innings and allowed just the one hit and one walk while striking out five. He improved to 8-0 with the victory. With the win today, Johns Hopkins has clinched the top seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament.

Bethany Lutheran clinched a spot in the UMAC playoffs on Saturday as they defeated Crown in a pair of contests to take a series sweep. The Vikings, now 18-8 overall and 14-3 in the UMAC, defeated the Polars 14-11 in game one before taking game two 13-6. Crown would hold a 8-6 lead late but an eight run inning propelled the Vikings to a game one win. Brody Curtiss started on the bump in game two and was locked in from the start. Crown mangaged another late inning lead but saw thay disappear when BLC scored ten runs in their final two innings.

Westminster (Pa.) earned a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) split on Senior Day Saturday against Chatham, Westminster took game one 9-4 before falling in game two 8-5. Sophomore left-hander Jake Vitale went seven strong innings to push his second record to 5-3. He allowed four runs (2 earned) on nine hits with three walks and a career-high 11 strikeouts. Senior right-hander Robert King tossed two innings of scoreless relief, giving up just a pair of hits. In game two, Chatham jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, which was keyed by Quinn Burke's two-run home run. The Titans would get back to within a run but Chatham would add runs for a three run advantage at the last out.

Brett Carson launched a two-run, opposite field walk-off home run in the bottom of the tenth inning of game two giving No. 14 ranked Marietta a doubleheader sweep of Heidelberg Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Park. Marietta posted an 11-5 win in game one and then took the night cap, 9-7 in 10 innings. The Pioneers are currently tied for second place in the OAC standings with Ohio Northern; two games behind league-leader Baldwin Wallace. Marietta has clinched a spot in the OAC Tournament. Carson's game-winning home run was a measure of revenge for the Pioneer senior. Carson took over on the mound to start the top of the eighth inning with Marietta leading 7-4. The southpaw gave up a pair of home runs in the eighth allowing Heidelberg to tie the game, 7-7. Marietta scored six runs in the first three innings of game one and never trailed in the 11-5 victory.

No. 5 nationally ranked Endicott swept Wentworth, 12-2 (7 inn.) and 3-0, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at North Field. The Gulls posted five runs in the first inning of the opener and never looked back in the mercy rule victory (10 or more runs after 7 complete). TJ Liponis led the offense with three RBI (sac fly, two-run double). Noah Therrien (1/3 inning) and Connor McDonald (1 IP) closed out the contest for Rian Schwede who collected his 11th career victory on the bump for the Gulls. Gabe Van Emon took a perfect game into the sixth inning en route to fanning a single-game program record 14 batters (nine looking). The hard-throwing lefty struck out four straight batters to start the contest and five out of the first six hitters he faced.

The University of Dallas split their conference doubleheader against Schreiner University on Saturday, winning 8-7 and dropping game two 7-6 in ten innings. Schreiner made a game of it in the opener, plating two runs in the eighth and pulling themselves within one run in the ninth, but Caleb Hohman came in and shut down the threat to record his second save of the season. Schreiner came out swinging in game two with Aidan Warren leading the way. Warren hit for the cycle as part of a 5-for-5 game in the nightcap. Isaiah Hernandez had a pinch-hit single to plate the winning run in the tenth inning.

Adrian traveled to Alma on Saturday morning to wrap up game one of a three-game set, followed by an originally schedule doubleheader. The Bulldogs hosted the Scots on Friday night, but due to poor weather conditions, the game was suspended in the bottom of the seventh and was resumed on Saturday morning where Adrian went on to lose 11-7. Following the completion of game one, Adrian and Alma went on to play their scheduled doubleheader where the Scots swept the Bulldogs by scores of 9-1 and 13-4.

UW-Oshkosh (24-8, 15-5 WIAC) won the first game on Saturday 9-2 and lost the second 13-2 (7 innings) to UW-La Crosse (24-8, 15-5 WIAC). The No. 16 Titans and No. 18 Eagles are tied for first in the WIAC headed into the final week of conference play. LJ Waco (6-0) earned the win, going 7.0 innings and allowing no runs on three hits and two walks with nine strikeouts. Schmitt (4-2) was assigned the loss, pitching 6.0 innings, and allowing nine hits for eight runs (seven earned), while striking out three. UW-La Crosse opened a 7-1 lead in the nightcap. with Mac Born providing the big hit, a grand slam in the top of the second inning. The Eagles went on to the victory and a split on the day and for the weekend.

No. 3 Shenandoah completed its final ODAC series of the regular season Saturday by sweeping host Ferrum. Shenandoah (34-5, 18-4 ODAC) was a 2-1 winner in the opener before completing the sweep over the Panthers (15-23, 8-14) with a 15-2 victory in the nightcap. SU scored its two runs in the sixth with Ferrum answering with an unearned run in the seventh. A four-run first gave Shenandoah all of the offense it would need in the 15-2 victory.

No. 11 Wheaton (Mass.) hit three home runs, including a grand slam from sophomore first baseman Timmy Wagner en-route to an 11-1 victory over host Babson in the second game of a New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference twinbill today at Govoni Field in Babson Park, Mass. The game was halted after seven innings of play, due to the NEWMAC's 10-run mercy rule after seven innings of play. The teams matched each other with a run apiece in the second, before Wheaton erupted for six runs in the third to break the game open and take a 7-1 advantage. Babson was held scoreless for the final five innings, while the Lyons added a run in the fifth and three more in the seventh to trigger the mercy rule. In game one, senior right-handed starting pitcher Zach Clesas allowed just one run over eight innings to lead the Lyons over host Babson by the score of 2-1.

For the first time since 2016, Augustana Vikings has clinched at least a share of the CCIW regular season title. Augustana defeated the visiting Illinois Wesleyan Titans on Saturday in a doubleheader, winning game one by a score of 10-2 before taking the finale 12-2. A quiet sixth inning gave way to two more Augie runs in the bottom of the seventh of the The Titans plated one more run in the ninth inning but could not overcome the eight-run deficit. Augie leaped out to an early 3-0 lead in the opening inning in the nightcap and scored five runs in the fourth to break open the game.

Playing its penultimate home outing, Kenyon secured two essential wins to stay in the hunt for a postseason North Coast Athletic Conference tournament berth. The Owls dispatched the DePauw Tigers on each end of the doubleheader, winning 15-5 in eight innings before a 13-7 decision in game two. The victories boosted Kenyon's record to 19-12 this season, including a 6-6 mark against NCAC competition. With the wins, the Owls pulled within a half-game of Wabash College (22-13, 6-5 NCAC) in the conference standings. The top four teams earn a spot in the NCAC Tournament, and Kenyon is currently sitting in fifth behind the Little Giants. Meanwhile, DePauw dropped to 11-21 overall this season and 3-9 in the NCAC. Kenyon's offense was clicking on all cylinders, racking up 28 runs and 27 hits over the doubleheader. DePauw tallied 21 hits of their own, but the Owls held the Tigers to 12 combined runs while benefiting from two additional DePauw errors in each game.

A quartet of McMurry University senior pitchers made sure they closed out their collegiate careers with key impacts Saturday. Playing for the final time in the solid Maroon and White pinstripe uniforms on their home Walt Driggers Field, Travis Beauchamp, Braxton Briones, Clayton Banks and Seth Parriette shut down a solid Hardin-Simmons offense that generated 32 runs in the first two games of the American Southwest Conference set. In five innings during a picture-perfect late April afternoon, they allowed just one earned run and four hits over five innings while striking out four. With that mound effort pacing head coach Josh Lee's squad, the War Hawks offense smashed seven hits, including two doubles, to help produce six runs toward a 6-2 series finale victory.

Keuka split with Medaille University at home on Saturday afternoon. Keuka College (8-20, 3-11 Empire 8) lost game one to Medaille University 6-4. The Wolves then defeated the Mavericks 8-1 in game two. The Wolves scored one run in the bottom of the sixth of the opener, but the Mavericks put a comeback together to score four in the top of the seventh and take game one 6-4. The Wolves offense picked up in game two and Anthony Laurinitis had a career day on the mound to lead the Wolves to a game two win.

Washington & Jefferson hit four home runs, collected 17 extra base hits and totaled 31 runs during a doubleheader sweep, 15-5 (8 innings) and 16-3, on Saturday at Thiel College. The sweep improves the Presidents to 15-3 in conference play and 25-11 overall. The Tomcats fall to 5-13 in the league and 11-26 overall. The Presidents scored six times in the fifth inning and four times in the eighth inning during a lopsided run-rule 15-5 victory in game one. Thiel scored once in the first and added another run in the fifth inning to take a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning. That is when things went sideways for the Tomcats. W&J, who had just two hits through the first five innings, scored 16 runs on 16 hits over the final four frames.

Moving to 23-10 on the year and 10-5 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, North Central College scored 11 unanswered runs in game one on their way to a doubleheader sweep of Carthage College on Saturday at Augie Schmidt Field. Carthage tacked on a run in the ninth of game one, but the Cardinals earned an 11-4 win in game one. The Firebirds opened game two with a first inning run but the Cardinals would build a 6-1 lead. Carthage closed the gap in the bottom of the sixth but NCC had an answer for this and subsequent changes by Carthage, winning 11-7.

On a day when the second-ranked Salisbury honored its 14 graduating seniors, a senior came up with the game's biggest hit.Kavi Caster hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to lift the Sea Gulls past the ninth-ranked Christopher Newport Captains, 6-5, in a back-and-forth tilt between two Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference titans on Saturday afternoon at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium. Jimmy Adkins pitched five innings in a no-decision, allowing five runs (four earned) on 11 hits with no walks and seven strikeouts on 89 pitches. Robbie Hollenbeck faced the minimum over 3.1 shutout innings to bridge Adkins and Epstein, allowing one hit with one punchout. Salisbury has now won nine straight games against CNU dating back to April 10, 2021.

Timely hitting in the sixth led Bethel to a 7-6 game one victory over Augsburg Saturday afternoon at Hargis Park. The Royals secured the sweep in a 13-3 run-rule victory. The pair of wins move BU to 22-6 on the year and 14-2 in MIAC play where they stay atop the standings. Justin Winterfeldt had himself a day at the plate, picking up five hits and three RBIs. Marcus Krupke had an impressive game number one, with four RBIs including a clutch three-run bomb that was vital to the Royals' comeback effort.

It was senior day for the Nichols on Saturday as they split a Commonwealth Coast Conference doubleheader on Saturday with Roger Williams, dropping the first game 9-5 before responding with a 4-3 victory. The Bison will head into the final week of the regular season with a record of 15-20 (9-5 CCC), while the Hawks are now 12-21 (8-6 CCC). After a scoreless first inning in game one, Roger Williams blew things open with an eight-run second inning that included four hits and three errors. Reliever Richard Pignone came on for the Bison to stop the bleeding, keeping the Hawks at eight runs until the ninth. The Bison jumped out to an early lead in the first inning, earning a 3-0 advantage. Roger Williams picked up two runs in the fourth before tying the game on an RBI double in the fifth. In the sixth, Nichols got the lead back and Senior right-hander Patrick Sawyer shut down the Hawks' offense in the seventh and eighth innings, before handing the ball over to Nolan Sullivan who locked down the ninth inning to give Nichols the important conference victory.

In a battle between the last two teams in the North Coast Athletic Conference without a loss in conference action this season, No. 13 Denison swept Wittenberg by scores of 9-2 in game one and then 16-6 in seven innings in game two during Senior Day on Saturday at the Big Red Baseball Field. With the two wins, Denison clinches the No. 1 seed for the NCAC Tournament and at least a share NCAC regular-season title. Charlie Fleming (8-1) dominated and earned his second consecutive complete game victory. Fleming tossed three 1-2-3 innings and finished with eight hits, two runs and no walks allowed while striking out 10. In game two, Denison batted around and put up six runs in the bottom of the first inning on three two-out RBI-hits. This was all Nick Falter needed. Falter allowed 11 hits, five runs, two walks and four strikeouts in his five innings while Rettig allowed just one hit, one run, one walk and one strikeout in his two innings to end the game.

Case Western Reserve continued a stretch of strong play on Saturday with a sweep of a doubleheader against Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at Nobby's Ballpark.The Spartans won the opening game 15-8, before claiming a 10-2 win in the second game of the day. With the two wins, the Spartans have now won 11 straight games and 15 of their last 16. CWRU improved to 25-12 overall, while Ohio Wesleyan fell to 16-19 with the two losses. Junior third baseman Zack Carinci hit safely in both games to make program history by extending his hitting streak to 28 games, matching the longest ever by a Spartan (former CWRU player Sam Alexander hit safely in 28-straight games during the 2011 season).

Piedmont used a major offensive day to claim a doubleheader sweep of Maryville on senior day. There was no doubt from the start as Piedmont scored 13 runs in the first inning to open up the onslaught with a 19-3 win in game one and a 12-2 victory in game two. Both games were decided by run rule in the seventh inning. Game one was never in doubt, though the Scots were the first on the board with a run in the first. In the home half of the inning though, the Lions exploded for 13 runs on eight hits and a pair of errors. The Lions forced two pitching changes in the first inning alone. Game two saw Piedmont strike first with two runs in the bottom of the first, but Maryville answered back to tie it in the top of the second. The Lions struck back in the bottom of the second adding three runs to take the lead 5-2. Piedmont would tack on two more in the fourth and coast to victory.

The 20th-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps trailed in the ninth inning of both games of its doubleheader at Caltech, but came through both times to earn 8-7 (10 innings) and 11-9 wins on Saturday afternoon. With the wins, CMS has now won 10 straight games and stands at 27-7 overall on the year and 17-4 in SCIAC, moving within one-half game of first place La Verne (17-3), which still has a game left with Whittier tomorrow. Regardless of the outcome of that contest, the winner of the CMS-La Verne series next weekend will be the top seed in the SCIAC Tournament. Tyler Shaw had eight hits in the doubleheader, going 3-for-6 in the opening game, and then 5-for-6 in the nightcap, which included the game-tying RBI in the ninth inning. Julian Sanders had the game-winning RBI in both games, breaking a 7-7 tie in the 10th with an RBI groundout, and then snapping a 9-9 tie in the nightcap with a ground-rule double.

Aaron Boster set a program record with 19 strikeouts in the nightcap of an Ohio Athletic Conference series as the Wilmington split with John Carroll in the final games at Tewksbury-Delaney Field for the 2023 season on Saturday. The Blue Streaks took game one 7-6 while the Quakers won the nightcap 7-5. Wilmington's Austin Christman entered in the ninth in a save situation in the opener, but his outing lasted two batters as the senior gave up a solo home run and hit a batter. Zach Shepherd entered and gave up one run as the Blue Streaks went on to win game one 7-6. In the nightcap, up 5-1 after one, the hosts added two more runs with two outs in the third. Two runs in the seventh for John Carroll along with those two bombs set up for a tense ninth inning. Trent Mendenhall came in relief of Boster, and though the Blue Streaks got the tying run to the plate, a flyout and a strikeout ended the game.

First-year Devin Anthony delivered one of his top performances in his debut weekend North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader start, as The College of Wooster officially clinched a spot in the upcoming four-team league tournament with Saturday's sweep over Hiram College at Art Murray Field. Wooster poured on the offense to overcome some early-afternoon defensive miscues in a 16-6 game-one win, then rolled past the Terriers 8-2 in the nightcap. Anthony (5-0), making his third NCAC start, handcuffed Hiram (12-22, 1-11 NCAC) for eight innings, allowing just two hits. He retired seven straight Terriers to start his debut Saturday outing, and was back in total command after working out of trouble in the third inning with hitless fourth and fifth innings. The right-hander went eight-plus with a run on four hits with six strikeouts on his line. Things stayed relatively quiet in game two until Wooster (15-18, 10-4 NCAC) broke things open with a five-run eighth inning.

Greensboro began its final regular season series on the road on Saturday afternoon against Brevard College. Both teams entered the series looking to solidify their position in the upcoming USA South Athletic Conference Tournament. The Pride came into today having won four of their last five games and were looking to keep that momentum going in the doubleheader and they would do just that, winning both games by scores of 5-0 and 5-1. Sam Peddycord picked up the win, pitching seven scoreless innings, striking out six, while only giving up five hits. Offensively, Greensboro was led by Cameron Edmonds who finished 2-3 with a run and Connor Morehouse who had a home run with 3 RBI's and a run. The Pride would take their first lead in game two in the eighth inning when Myles Vacharasin was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, allowing Hayen to cross the plate. Edmonds would then score on a Freshman Avery Bishop sacrifice fly and in the ninth inning, Edmonds singled in Junior Adam Weber to increase the lead and eventually win the game, 5-1.

St. Olaf got a walk-off single from sophomore Evan Hammonds to win game two by a 13-12 score after the College of St. Scholastica took the opener, 6-3, on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at Mark Almli Field. St. Scholastica (6-21, 4-10 MIAC) got a complete-game effort from Jake Schelonka in the opener and held an 8-1 lead in the fifth inning of game two while looking to complete the sweep. St. Olaf (11-14, 6-5 MIAC) had other ideas, however, as the Oles scored 11 of the next 12 runs to take the lead going into the ninth. The Saints used a pair of home runs to tie the game before Hammonds won it for St. Olaf in the bottom of the ninth. Between the two games, the Oles recognized their senior class of Avery von Herrmann, Harald Borg, and Lucas Warner, along with their families, for the trio's effort and dedication to the program over the last four seasons.

Lynchburg grinded out two wins over Guilford Saturday to earn the regular-season title in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Hornets mounted a pair of comebacks over the Quakers in 9-7 and 7-4 wins. Benton Jones went 4-4 with a homer, two doubles, and single in Game 1, and Josh Gjormand went 3-3 in Game 2 as Alex Gianascoli tallied his second save in Game 2. The Hornets trailed 5-1 in Game 1 during the 6th inning. After the stretch, Lynchburg exploded for five runs beginning with a RBI single from Carrson Atkins. Jack Bachmore closed out the game over the last two innings for his eighth save of the year. In Game 2, the Hornets mounted another comeback in the 6th. Down 4-1, the Hornets busted out four runs beginning with a three-run triple from Gavin Collins. Gjormand drove in the fourth run of the frame.

Cal Lutheran wrapped up non-conference play with a sweep, taking both games of their doubleheader with Whitman on Saturday. The Kingsmen won game one, 10-6, and game two, 6-3. The Kingsmen exploded for six runs over the first three innings, getting two in the first, three in the second and one in the third. The Blues slowly chipped away at the lead and tied the game at 6-6 through six innings. The Kingsmen answered the call with three runs in the eighth and one in the ninth. John Frazier was on the mound and got the win as the Kingsmen picked up the sweep. He went 7.1 innings, allowing just one hit and one earned run. He struck out six as he dominated the Blues' batters. Rickerman wrapped up the game and got the save. He pitched 1.0 innings and struck out two. The Kingsmen scored early and often, just as they did in the first game. They scored two runs in the first, one in the second, two in the third. Durfee recorded 2 RBI, Lafata and Quinn both added one. Reuser scored on a passed ball.

Beloit won both games of Saturday's doubleheader against Cornell to clinch the program's first Midwest Conference championship since 2016. The Buccaneers won game one 15-2 in seven innings, before holding off the Rams 10-8 in game two to complete the sweep. Those two wins also punched the Bucs' ticket to the 2023 MWC Tournament, which will now go through Beloit, Wisconsin, as it will be held at The Ballpark at Strong Stadium on May 12-13. The day's first game saw Beloit (25-10, 17-3 MWC) score early and often. Matt O'Leary set the tone for the game, homering to right field to lead off the bottom of the first inning. The day's second game again saw Beloit get out to an early lead. Cornell then took their first lead of the game with two runs in the top of the second, but that lead was short-lived, thanks in large part to the long-ball. Ferone ripped a three-run homer over the right field fence to give the Bucs the lead, while Zenger added a two-run Bucco Bomb to increase that lead to 6-2. Kiger also got into the action, as Beloit's Home Run King left the park with a solo homer in the fourth. Cornell (18-16, 9-11 MWC) then made things interesting with three runs in the top of the sixth, but Beloit answered with three runs of their own in the seventh. Needing to take both games after dropping the opener, No. 19 LaGrange (27-13, 13-5 CCS) rallied from a five-run deficit in the opener and blew the nightcap open late to sweep Huntingdon (23-12, 9-7 CCS) 14-8 and 10-2 and claim the inaugural regular season championship of the Collegiate Conference of the South in an NCAA Division III baseball doubleheader on Saturday. Going back to their time in the USA South, it is the Panthers' sixth straight title, be it regular season or tournament. They won their last five tournaments in their previous league, earning championships from 2017-19 and 2021-22. The first of those would also be a regular season title with none being awarded in 2020 due to the cancellation of the remainder of the season.

The No. 23 UW-Stevens Point baseball team (23-9, 13-5, scored 11 runs in each game of a doubleheader sweep at UW-Eau Claire (7-20, 1-15). The Pointers won, 11-3, in game one and completed the sweep in seven innings in game two, 11-1. It was the 10th time in the last 15 games UWSP has scored double-digit runs. Jakob Boos tied a career high with five RBI in game one. He didn't have a run batted in during game two, but all eight of the other starters did. Payton Nelson and Bradley Comer had three RBI each on the day. Trent Van Ess, Logan Homolka and Kamden Oliver had two RBI each in game two.
