D'Auria cycles to lead Pacers to win

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University graduate student Vinny D'Auria hit a cycle to the lead the Pacers to a 23-1 win in five innings Tuesday in non-conference baseball action. It is the Pacers' eighth consecutive win over their former Colonial States Athletic Conference foe.

D'Auria doubled to left field to lead off the fourth inning to complete the cycle. He finished 4 for 4 with three RBIs and five runs.

Adam Ginsberg went 2 for 5 with two runs and four RBIs. Max Slusser also finished with four RBIs. Slusser batted 2 for 3 with three runs. He tripled his career total with two stolen bases.

Cameron Kohut went 1 for 2 with three runs and two RBIs. Christian Michak scored three runs.

AJ Giannetti set the Marywood single-game school record with five walks.

Connor Watkins earned his first career victory. Watkins pitched a scoreless fourth inning.

Marywood (9-5) broke the school single-game record for most walks drawn with 16 free passes. The Pacers surpass the previous record of 13 that was set on April 22, 1999 against the University of Scranton.

Ryan Naillon had the Defenders' lone RBI.
